We are staying at the poly Dec7-15 with 3 children, 1 infant. Does anyone have any ideas about which longhouse might be the best choice. We were hoping for one near Volcano pool, a lagoon view is not as important as being near the pool. Are these buildings the older ones? I hear the newer buildings are larger. is it a big difference? We will be there for my 35th birthday, can't wait!!!!!1

Lagoon views have to be specified and paid extra for but there are some great garden views that you can see the lagoon, marina or beach area. If you want a view of the volcano pool I would suggest going with Fiji. It was just redone inside and your view will be either of the marina looking towards the volcano or the beach looking towards Luau Cove. You will be a short walk to the Great Ceremonial House and the pool. The longhouses right next to the pool are Niue and Samoa. Samoa will be going down at the end of December for rehab and is a smoking longhouse and Niue is due for rehab.

What they call newer longhouses were built 17 years ago and do have slightly larger rooms but not that noticeable. All the Polynesian rooms are larger that most WDW resort rooms.

I hope this helps.

Hi ! Just wanted to say we'll be at the Polynseian Dec 7-10! Maybe I'll see you there. Have a great trip!

We're also going to have 3 children with us.

Our official request thus far is for the Niue building, but I'm thinking of changing to Fiji or Tokelau.

Ah... the possibilities!
