After calling a few times over the past month, today there was finally availability for us to upgrade to Concierge!!! Yipppeeeee! i am on could nine. When CRO CM Lily Rose said yes, we have it, I asked her to repeat it twice. But we got it!

So I have a couple questions for Poly Conc vets-

Do I call Island Planners Office, or do they call me? (I am trying to keep it a secret from DH, so maybe I should call them first?)

How awesome is conc service? Can I cut out the grocery stop now?

Should I let them know of the PS's I have already made, or just have them make my last few? Is there a benefit if they're "concierge" PS's?

Will the concierge help me out with getting a small gift and having it from "Mickey" for the kiddos at check in?

Do you request a room, like with a fax, or do they just assign it because they're all great rooms?

Wow o wow. And in 17 days!!!! Wish the clock would go faster!:bounce:

Congratulations!

The Concierge office usually contacts you, but since you leave in only a few days, I would call them first.

You shouldn't need a grocery stop. There are plenty of drinks and snacks in the lounge all day.

They can make PS's for you and they should already know about your existing PS's.

Enjoy!

TarraLee,

That is awesome!

I would agree with calling them, or emailing them, since your trip is so close.

I've let them know my room choices, so when they are assigned I will hopefully get my preferences. You should do the same.

The will be more than happy to help arrange a wecome gift for the kids. Just let them know what you're looking for. Both of my nephews are celebrating birthdays, and concierge was able to arrange a few surprises for them.

They should be able to see your existing PSs. If one is for the Luau, see if they can still get you in the concierge section. Never too late to ask.

17 Days for us to go too!

Tarra Lee!
Yipeee!

Of course I pounce on anything on the boards with the words Poly or concierge. This is great news.l:Pinkbounc

I am so happy you will be over in Tahiti!:bounce:

It looks like we are going to have a nice little DIS crowd. As we get closer we will have to have everyone log in.

More and more pixie dust your way.

Tammy

You can e-mail the Poly concierge too!

WDW.Polynesian.Island.Planning.Office@disney.com

Note, that this e-mail is only for concierge guests. They can send you an itinerary planning sheet via e-mail which you can then send back to them. Congrats!!! I Love the Poly Concierge- and yes- you can skip the grocery stop (unless you need non-food items, or have some very specific brand of something that you can't live without!)

TarraLee,

That's great! I will be there with 3 kids (ages 3, 4 and 7) and Grandma in 20 days!

This will be my first time at the Polly and my first time for Concierge!

I have been trying to upgrade from GV to LV with no luck. I'm glad you were able to get in.

I hope we don't have long lines for snacks and rude people like I have read about recently.

I would suggest an E-mail to the concierge. Tara has always responded very quickly to my E-mails.

See you soon.

Just curious, but how much more is Concierge over the regular room rate?

Thanks, everyone, for the good wishes! I'm so excited, I can hardly stand it. Today was awesome, we got into poly conc, and Dh and I found out we made the journal at school (it is a big deal for law students, and we've been nervouse since we applied last month). I'm so happy, I know I'm not going to be able to sleep!

I'm going to email the concierge in the morning. Maybe we'll get Tara! I'm afraid I won't be able to organize my thoughts tonight, and I'll forget a hundred things. So, I'm off to Tikiman's website to drool over pictures.......

packy- I'm not sure of the regular prices, but we had an 8 day/7 night FTP, and it was a price increase of 405 total to go from GV to GVC. Hope that helps some.

16 days!:Pinkbounc

PLEASE report to us when you get back so that all of us who are going in Aug/Sept can get at the info.

Devine- I will defenitely do a trip report, because I absolutely love reading everyone else's!

Emailed the concierge service, so seems we're set!

15 days to go. Can I start packing yet??

Tarralee-

Thanks!

Let us know on this board too about the Poly Concierge. A lot of people don't put the resort in the title of their trip reports, under trip reports section, so we have to search it out.

Have a GREAT time-wish we were there!

ohhhhh, have fun! concierge is great, forget the grocery stop, you should have no need for that.

contact concierge, why wait for tehm to call you, especially that it is a surprise!

to the person who asked about price.... the garden view concierge is about $100 more per night then regular garden view, and roughly the SAME price as regular lagoon view!
lagoon view concierge is about $75 more than gv cocneirge...this is all approximations, but close enough! :0

Laura :)

8 days til WDW!!! YIPPPEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!

Laura,

Just wanted to say have a GREAT time at the YC!! Isn't this your birthday trip that your DH was going to plan?
