Ok....so we are going to WDW last minute either 3/2 -3/7 or 3/9 -3/14. We are 2 adults and 3 kids.

We are now contemplating Concierge and I know they can help with ADR's. I am concerned that with my trip two weeks away I am not going to be able to get any reservations.

My question is, can the Concierge help me get good ressies or do they just call like I would and book. Do they have any pull to make something happen for a person staying concierge?

Worried but hoping. I dont want to eat counter service all week.

It's been my experience that before a trip, if I call WDW Dining and a particular restaurant is all booked up, Concierge has NOT been able to get me an ADR there, either.

Once I'm onsite, the CMs in the concierge lounge have been able to call around to various restaurants and get me some last-minute ADRs, but I wouldn't book a trip hoping that concierge would be able to get me all of the ADRs that I wanted. The times that we've needed a last-minute ADR they were due to us getting stuck at the MK in hurricane/rain and getting drenched and getting back to the Hawaii building without enough time to get dried off, changed, and over to Jiko at AK for dinner. LOL Another time was when one of my health issues flared up and I just couldn't make it to another resort for the ADR we had booked, so the concierge CM called around and got us into a restaurant that was much closer.

I will say, however, that upon occasion, the concierge CMs have been able to get us dinner at the Kona Cafe at the last minute, on a night when the Kona Cafe themselves told us that they were booked solid and nothing was available. From what I've been able to discern from reading many posts here on the DIS is that concierge CMs have a very good change of getting you into a sold-out restaurant at their OWN resort, than getting you into a sold out restaurant in a park or other resort.

I hope you're able to get some ADRs! Have you tried call yourself yet, just to see???

Thanks SeaSpray. I am calling tomorrow morning to check. My fear is that these are going to be very very busy times and things will be booked up. If I don't get anything I will just live off the concierge food and Dole Whips for a week! :thumbsup2

Im sure I will get something. Need some pixie dust.

. . . My question is, can the Concierge help me get good ressies or do they just call like I would and book. Do they have any pull to make something happen for a person staying concierge? . . .

1) Club Floor concierge CM's have no more "pull" than calling yourself.
2) Once in a while, they can help with eateries at their own resort.
3) Other than that, no.

NOTE: There are certain individuals who have the override codes for dining and can insert someone, but there are not that many who can do this. For those who can, they only do it when guests are in front of them, and not in advance.

The Poly CL CM's have a little pull at the restaurants at the Poly, as well as a couple of the restaurants at the Contemporary and GF. They can of course call other locations to try and help you as well. I can tell you that as of now, the parks and resorts are pretty much dead so you shouldn't have any issues.
