I'm so excited! We had the Poly booked for April in a standard GV room. This will be our 4th time at the Poly in a GV room. I had been debating on whether to go concierge next trip but really didn't think DH would go for it. He is nice enough to let me go to WDW twice a year without him and stay at the Poly. I didn't want to push my luck. Well last night I mentioned it and he said go ahead and get concierge. I just about fell off the chair! I hurried up and called CRO and switched. I even got a AAA discount but am hoping for an AP discount to make me feel a little less guilty! And not feel bad about all the souveniers I always waste my money on! I am wondering when I can expect a letter from concierge or something that I can let them know my preferences and maybe some hard to get PSs. I am not going for another 126 days but I'm anxious! LOL!!

I have no idea about the concierge letter, but wanted to say a big "Yeah" for you! I hope you have a wonderful vacation! :D

Congratulations on booking Polynesian concierge.

It seems to me that we get the letter fairly soon after we book. Much closer to arrival we get the call. I always try to book everything myself anyway as I like to have control. For instance if I'm hoping to have CRT at 9 but the only choices are 8 or 11, I can pick myself rather than the CM guessing which option I'd like.

I totally understand the guilt part. I still haven't booked some nights in March when my husband and one offspring will probably be going to Italy instead of WDW. I really want to do Polynesian concierge but feel that perhaps I should book Pop Century instead. No... as I see this, I think it will be Polynesian concierge.:D

I like to book all my PSs too but I do it for the fun. Nothing better then getting the time you want, when you want! LOL! I guess I like the challenge! I really don't know what PSs I'd even want them to get for me really. Just sounds like fun to have them do something for me! LOL! We've done CRT twice including once in October so we are tired of it. I already booked the luau. I know it isn't supposed to be great but we are running out of new places to try and eat! I did read that the Poly concierge now offers concierge tables at the luau so I will get in on that. I might get them to book all my easy PSs for the fun of it. Maybe put in a request for a certain floor even though CRO has it the system. It's just so exciting to do concierge at WDW. I've done it in other places but never Disney! As far as Italy, where is your family staying? We lived there for 2 years about 13 years ago. Nice place to visit but I'd never live there again! And yes, treat yourself good and go for concierge! :)

LOL, I enjoy booking my own PSs too. I used CRT as an example although we've only tried breakfast there once. I do always book lunch there...a tradition for us.

Didn't know about the concierge tables at the Luau. Years ago when our children were young, we started off several trips with dinner there after having breakfast at what is now Kona and lunch at CRT. With young children it was a nice way to settle into the resort. MK, pool, luau....relaxing!

My husband and daughter are probably going to just go to Rome, Florence and Venice. Where did you live?

Enjoy concierge at the Polynesian. We love it there...concierge or not!

We lived in Brindisi, down by the "heel of the boot" so to speak. We traveled all around but mainly to unknown interesting places like the Trulli Village. We did go to Rome though but never Florence or Venice. My mom, who visited us, did travel to those places though when she stayed with us. She loved them all. We did take an overnight ferry to Corfu, Greece which was gorgeous! So much prettier then Italy. The best parts of Italy were the foccacia, bruscetta, and the gelati. Yum!

My husband's grandmother was from some small island "off the heel" too and he travelled there before we were married. Do you think you'll go back?

Where's Trulli Village?
