I booked a room for the Polynesian Garden View Concierge for our 1st 2 nights and a Lagoon View for our 2nd 2 nights and was just curious to know if the Lagoon view is worth the difference? We have stayed at the Polynesian before and had concierge with a garden view but never a Lagoon view. Can anyone give their opinions. Thanks, Chip. BTW we will be staying at the world for just a few days. Our dates as of now are Nov.30-Dec.4. Thanks again.

Well, we did our first two Poly trips in garden view, and two nights this July in a lagoon view. Yes the view was awesome--but was it worth the $50 or whatever difference a night? I don't think so. Some will disagree with me, but if I had a choice between concierge garden view and lagoon view I'd take the GV and spend that money on something else. BTW, you can see the view from the lounge or walk outside to the beach--I recommend the hammocks!

I think that the lagoon view is worth the extra cost. Our kids are young (4 and 6) and it was great to sit out on the balcony and watch the electric water pagent right in front of us. We looked forward to it every night. If one of the kids was tired and fell asleep, we did not have to leave the room to watch the show. Also it really is wonderful to watch the castle every night turn colors. I would wake up in the middle of the night and just watch it in awe. It made our trip really special. Not sure how we can top it next time.

We had lagoon view and it was fantastic. There is something very special about seeing that castle right outside! That said, I would not be disappointed with a garden view. I would have to figure how much $$ was involved and would probably do all 4 nights in one room. I loved the lounge and all the perks involved--any room will do!:)

I wouldn't switch in the middle of the trip either. Too much of a hassle. We've been on both sides (lagoon view before it was concierge...or even called lagoon view, if I recall correctly). I think both sides have advantages. It is more private on the GV side, I think. Only you can decide if the difference in $$ is worth the view.
