We've always loved staying at the Poly concierge and are looking forward to another stay there!

Our last stay at the poly concierge was Dec. 2002.

I've looked over tikiman's site, but I can't see any difference with the hawaii building.
Did they just go in and recarpet and repaint, etc?

I know chef Dick will be there, but is there anything new to expect?

Really not too many changes you are likely to notice. I think the major change was with the foundation?

There is no longer wallpaper in the downstairs lounge, hallways or rooms although there is still wallpaper in the bathrooms...at least the two we had.:D There are new fans in the bathroom which are much more effective at clearing the steam from showers. New thermometers, too.

The carpet has the newer pattern that has been in Rapa Nui, etc. for a few years.

There is some new detail on the ceiling beams in the first floor lounge.

One very nice change is that the eastern door is now automatic like all the doors in the newer buidings. I believe that change has been made in all the older buidings in this rehab. It is keyed of course like all longhouse doors at the Polynesian.

Bambi -

We're staying at the Poly Concierge for the first time this May. We always stay at the Poly, but first time for concierge.

I am SO excited.

Can you tell me more about your recent experiences????

We're staying for nine nights!!!
