Hi! Each year my daughter and I go to WDW for her birthday. It is usually our mother daughter time since she is now 8 and has two teenage brothers, 14 and 17. Most of the time we do an inexpensive hotel (Shades of Green (her dad is a retired US Marine) and values. However, one year (her 4th birthday) we stayed at the RPC Grand Floridian and, well, in December, it was magical. SO........I got the infamous 40% off coupon months ago and snagged the Poly concierge garden view for $275! Here are the preliminary details:

Dec. 14th through the 18th: Poly
No food plan since we stayed at the AKL concierge in October on the meal plan and it was way, way , way too much food!
Our annual passes will expire in September and we won't renew them (we get them every other year as we are Florida residents) but I am purchasing the play three pass for Florida residents for about $125 (no park hopping though:confused3 )

So far we booked the Luau at the Poly, Cinderella Castle breakfast (Thanks Poly IPO office!:thumbsup2 ). At the 90 day window the planners are going to try and grab the Breathless for the Illuminations cruise so I have my fingers crossed for that.

Thats it for now but I know that I have to get on board with my dining plans. We stayed at the Poly concierge about four years ago and I remember the food was wonderful and she and I are light eaters. I don't want to over do it, but I am thinking that breakfast will be totally covered and if we have a big sit down lunch then evening appitzers may be enough.

I will post more as I plan. Any great ideas let me know. I was wondering if Cirque would be a good idea for her 9th birthday??????

oooo...it sounds wonderful so far! I loove the Poly, and we haven't stayed concierge there in awhile but it was so nice when we did! I can't wait to hear more!

(P.S. Can't help you with the Cirque thing :confused3 ...we've never seen it, though a friend of mine did and she loved it...)

Thanks AGPrincess!:thumbsup2 I am definately planning on posting a trip report as I finally figured out how to post pics on this board. (it only took me five years!:lmao:

Wow, what an amazing price you received. I would maybe do the Princess Biddity Boddity thing for your daughters birthday.

Great idea! I think she wants the DIVA do :goodvibes She loves to dress up. I am going to make sure to book that, is it 90 or 180 days out??
