What should I know about the poly bungalows.? We are going in March and booked a deluxe studio. We are beyond excited.
Should I request a certain bungalow..? Not sure what we want to be close to.
Any tips, suggestions are always appreciated

Have a magical day :)

Hmmmm...... did you book a studio, or a bungalow? They are completely different types of rooms. A bungalow is built out over the water and, on a cash reservation, would be over $2000 per night. A studio would be a converted regular room in a longhouse.

The studios are in longhouses, not bungalows. There are currently DVC studios in three Poly longhouses, so not many choices.

Studios are not the same thing as bungalows. A bungalow is sort of the equivalent of a 2 bedroom suite. If you booked a studio, that's a different thing.

Yes thank you for clarifying. We booked a deluxe studio. Standard view. Any advise on those would be greatly appreciated.

The DVC studios are in Moorea and Tokelau, but I'm not sure what rooms they consider to be standard view. I'm guessing that the Moorea rooms facing the lagoon/Magic Kingdom are not standard view. Personally, I would request Tokelau, just to be further away from the Magic Kingdom ferry docks. The boat horns can be pretty annoying late at night or early in the morning.

Edited to add: I should have said, Tokelau not overlooking the pool.

Moorea is where the Lake View studios are. The SV studios are in Tokelau and Pago Pago.

There are some SV studios in Moorea (the ones that don't face the lagoon).

I thought there were standard studios on the other side of Moorea (not facing the water)?

There are some SV in Moorea. They basically face the TTC walking path, and Pago Pago.

I would request Tokelau. It is centrally located near the new Oasis pool and closer to the boat dock and Great Ceremonial House. We stayed in this building several times when it was part of the Polynesian resort and loved the location.

We just stayed in Tokelau and it was great (but I don't know any others as a comparison). It was a standard view (I think) but if you stood in just the right spot on our balcony you could actually see the castle. Loved the inside of the studio! Two bathrooms, an extra bed for one kid, just beautiful!

We just requested a room in Tokelau for our stay beginning on Monday. Agree with everyone else on the location and now that the construction is done on the Oasis pool, I think it's the best option.

Thank you all so much. We were going to stay in AOA but changed to Poly. We are a family of 5. 2 baths and a Murphy bed should be enough. Super super excited.

except for the real Bora Bora experience it's around 3800$ per night at the Four Season Bora Bora

Where are you looking? I just typed in for the week of Labor Day and found the 4 Seasons for $1100/night. Pricey, but less than WDW Poly... And with blue waters you don't have to be afraid to swim in.

My father used to live in a real bungalow on the water in Bora Bora before I was born...one day I'll get there, but there are bungalows available for my dates in October. If only I could somehow find the extra money for it! We're actually considering Poly (we love it there) so this thread is very helpful and timely!
