this is our first stay at POLY... sooo excited!! :cool1: we did the "theme park view" however i am not sure in which buildings this would be. if anyone knows please let me know....

i hope i made the right choice... i have only eaten at POLY in the past...but i have always wanted to stay here...

Congrats on your Poly stay:cool1::cool1::cool1:

We loved the Poly and hope you will too. Check out the tikiman website, it's full of all things Poly, including a detailed map of all the longhouses and the view categories.

IMO, Tahiti is the best building for theme park view and not just because it has great views. Most buildings do not have balconies on the 2nd floor but Tahiti does which really is nice when you have that view. As well, Tahiti is one of the newer buildings and the rooms are 476 sq ft compared to 415 sq ft in the older buildings. It also has double sinks in the bathroom. No other theme park view building has those features. I'd highly recommend requesting that building.

Don't be put off by it looking like its a ways from the main building, the GCH. The Poly is very compact. Tahiti is 3 minutes walk from the GCH and the volcano pool, and 5 to luau cove at the far side of the property. It's also 3 minutes from the TTC and monorail to Epcot and MK.

thanks so much for the quick replies heidi and polydweller... i did ask for a balcony room so i will def have to send my request for tahiti.... i really appreciate it!!! :goodvibes

Must admit I'm a little jealous. Since our first visit in 2011 we have wanted to stay at the poly. Very happy for you though. :wizard:

Your welcome:thumbsup2

Here's a few tips that made our Poly stay awesome!
1-take time to enjoy the resort. We loved exploring the grounds and taking pics, especially at night
2-get a Lapu Lapu drink from the bar at the GCH, if you like rum fruity drinks...so good!
3-Watch Wishes from the beach, the music is piped in. So awesome to not fight the crowds and just to enjoy the show
4-Explore the GCH, lovely shops, smells and monorail!
5-take advantage of being at a monorail resort, explore the GF or CR. We ate dinner at GF and walked around the lobby at CR.
6-take the TTC walking path, we were glad we did. Especially at night, lovely!

Great TIPS thanks:thumbsup2

We are staying only two days in November then off to a DCL cruise. :woohoo: The first day will be our check out the resort day as we have never stayed at the Poly.

We are staying in a standard room and I have not made any requests yet. I hear the marina is nice as well.

I stayed in Tuvalu in a TPV and I was far enough over on the GF side that the island didnt get in the way. Perfect perfect view :)

We booked standard room and was very, very happy. I asked for ground floor, close to pool and GCH. We got an awesome 1st floor room, Niue building facing the GCH/Volcano pool. Well landscaped to feel private, but so easy to walk out of the patio and go to Captain Cooks or the pool. The patios are huge!

Amen. Tahiti. The quoted post is un-improvable.
