Hi guys,

Okay we are planning our December trip this year and decided we want to stay right in the middle of it, we will be staying 10 days and will do half at the Poly and half at CR....my question is (are)
What room could I request at each for a view of the castle(this is a must) I could spend everynite just staring at it :teeth:

IS it possible to have a view of the castle from A wing room at the CR, or is the tower view the only way to go??

And Finally, do you think we would be better off at GF if a balcony with a castle view is the most important thing to us (well me)

Any and all help and info is SO GREATLY APPRECIATED! ::yes::

Hi, we could see the castle from our North wing room. Of cource, the view would be much better from a tower. We also had a great view of the fireworks from our window. (we were on the 2nd floor, about 1/2 way down.)

Just note on your reservation that you would like a MK view. In the tower 1/2 rooms face MK & 1/2 face the lake.

Enjoy your stay!

At the Polynesian, the 3 buildings with clear sight lines of the castle are Tuvalu and Tahiti (non-concierge) and Hawaii (concierge). We have stayed in Tuvalu (I believe rm 3405 or 6) and in Hawaii (rm 3507) and both had great views (our room in the Hawaii building was seemingly a straight line to the castle...very cool!). I prefer Hawaii to Tuvalu for location (Tuvalu is located on the other side of the marina and you have to walk around the marina to get to the pool, Ceremonial House, etc). And, of course, I liked the whole concierge experience at Hawaii :D We stayed in CR many years ago in the South Garden wing facing the water so can't help with you there. For both, make sure you list your request on your reservation, keep other requests to a minimum and check in early, as it seems other posters have been more successful in getting their request this way. At the Poly, you pay for a lagoon vs garden view so you are guaranteed a view, just not a specific building or room (unless you book concierge, then you know you will be in Hawaii and all you have to request is floor/room, tho I'd still use the same strategy as above and check in early for greater availability/choice of rooms ). Hope you have a great trip.....one of my favorite things on our last trip was to sit on our balcony watching Wishes and then the castle changing colors. It was a magical way to end the day!

I've stayed at the poly, CR and GF and have found the best MK views are in the CR tower. Like Kimberle said though, half of the CR tower rooms face the lake, which isn't a bad view, just not what you are looking for. However, each time I've stayed at CR, we've requested tower MK and got it (these were not peak times though). I have stayed in a garden wing at CR and while it does have MK views on one side, you can't really see the castle or anything well. Poly and GF both offer great MK views that are better than the CR wing because they are farther away and you see it across the lake. However, if the view is your number one priority, I'd suggest CR tower, requesting MK view.

All three resorts are great though!

Another thing to ask for besides MK view in CR's tower is an odd number room. I've read you can see the castle while in bed. We had an even number. I could have gotten the odd number but it was too close to one side and I wanted a middle room. Loved the view. DD could see the castle from the daybed. She loved it.
