Poly all the way!

Just made our summer 2013 vacation reservation at the Poly and took advantage of great rate. To add icing on the cake got a super rental deal! Only question I have is whether Capt. Cook is open at 2AM when I think we'll be pulling into the Poly. Anybody know?

From Tikiman's site:

Captain Cook's is open 24 hours but the grill closes at 11:00 p.m.

And I believe the grill opens at 6:30am for breakfast.

That's the great thing about Captain Cooks, open 24hrs. We would refill our mug at 1AM and get a Dole Whip. Great treat before bed

Just FYI. While they are open there is a minimal amount of items available in the grab and go cooler. Fruit cups, salads if there are any left, bagged carrots, the dole whip machine and that is about it. There was one salad left at 11pm Wed. night. I am not sure why Disney doesn't have some things available late night, it is fairly hard even in the parks. That is one reason we like GF, 24hr room service.

I know most of them do, but WL doesn't - they do breakfast between set hours and dinner between set hours, and there is a break during the day and overnight where nothing is available.

The overnight room service items are usually limited to cold sandwiches and chips though - not the full room service menu. Seems like they cut off the regular menu at either 11pm or midnight and then start the full breakfast around 6ish in the morning.

Only the GF has a full menu 24hrs, and in our experience they will make anything you ask for. We always order around 3:30 am when we return from late MK EMH.

So excited for our first stay at the Poly this September! Can't wait!! Good to know that Captain Cook's is open 24 hours for soda and Dole Whips/snacks. Going to be a busy vacation so who knows what time we might be hungry!
