Has anyone out there stayed at the Poly 1 bedroom?
I am considering staying there but can't find a room
layout anywhere. I assume this is a similar layout to
the WL Junior Suite. Am I correct? Are the rooms nice?
Any idea of the views for those rooms?

Here's a link to Tikiman's site about the Princess Suite at the Polynesian

We stayed in the 2 bedroom Princess Suite last June, which is located in the Tonga building, next to the GCH.

We were on the first floor and loved the suite longhouse.
The fridges are fully stocked and you'll have a wetbar and microwave also.

The WISHES music is piped into your balcony and the beds are HEAVENLY!

I also have some pictures of our Princess Suite...CLICK HERE.

The 1 bedroom Princess Suite is the same layout (just less the 2nd bedroom) and is located upstairs by the concierge lounge.
These suites are going to be in rehab this Fall, but will be finished by end of this year.
Probably will upgrade the lighting fixtures in the rooms, some new TV's, furniture, drapes, carpet.

The layout is nothing like the WL's jr Suite.....this suite is twice the size and looks out towards the marina/lagoon and you'll have a view of the castle.

Hope this answers some of your questions!
WE love the Tonga longhouse! Very intimate and you receive excellent service as there are only 6-8 suites.
It was no big deal to go to the Hawaii CL for evening offerings.

The rehab dates have been changed for Tonga. It will be closed from January 9th till about April. This could change again but as of today it is the date they are going by.

Aloha

Steve

Yes, Steve, you are right!

I just received an email from Melissa about the rehab schedule change.

therefore, we're moving to a suite at the GF RPC.

Darn! I was so looking forward to staying at the Princess again!:(

Are the breakfast and afternoon offerings in the same building as the suites? Then if you want something in the evening you must go to Hawaii? Is this how it works?

I am sure that Tamby can give you an idea of the offerings but they have a small area with offerings in Tonga that has some items in the morning and during the day but the majority of food and drinks are over in Hawaii's lounge.

Tamby,

I sent you a message over at the other forum but I figured that Melissa was going to email you or call.

Sorry about the date change.

Aloha

Steve

That's OK, Steve!

We'll just add that newly rehabbed Princess onto the MAY Lizard Meet!!!!:sunny:

I'll go check on the other forum for your message!:wave2:

Breakfast and afternoon offerings are about the same, only the muffins, cupcakes, etc are FULL size (not mini)! And, instead of having chips, crackers in bowls the Tonga has all of them in pre=packaged bags. Full-sized Rice crispy mickey treats, and a wonderful assortment of beverages.
Plus, your fridge is restocked daily.
This may change, but we received plastic bottled water in our stocked fridges!:teeth:

The Tonga is nice, quiet and more intimate than the Hawaii.

And you just have to go to the Hawaii for the evening offerings and when you're at the main pool, for drinks and treats.
Very handy!
