Poll- Your Pet peeves

I just don't understand the comments about not caring to dress up or it's too much of a hassle and people are snooty for expecting that.

What happened to wanting to look nice and having dinner be a little more special than grabbing a slice at luigis on deck?

I am not a tux or jacket guy but a nice shirt and khakis isn't that hard to do...

It was my group once! Nothing to do with our bill - my husband was in the medical center. They were noticeably panicky that there were still guests onboard (couldn't clear the ship) so they finally had me leave with his passport and when he was ready they brought him out. I knew he was coming when the medical center charge hit my debit card. ;-) We had missed our bus to WDW so they sent one just for us!

This happened to my mom and my nephew on our last Mexican Riv. cruise. My nephew (5) had a bad case of explosive...:rolleyes1 on that last morning. We were last to leave the staterooms.

We couldn't get past the restrooms and my mom had no change of clothes for him and all she could do was let him sit on the toilet outside of Wavebands.

My daughter and I disembarked and I told her to ask if she could be walked through to the front of the line to customs, but my nephew just could not get out of that restroom. My mom was crying. Because she had nothing to help him as she couldn't let him soil his pants right there.

She was actually the last person walking off the ship with my nephew. The entire time my brother was speaking to security because we were so worried. She was able to just walk off ~ go right through customs into the car. I have to say, the Disney staff was wonderful to her, the security even better. They walked off with her and made sure we got all our luggage (which I had done).

It was a brief hug goodbye and she was just drained and stressed.

You know what, that's what she talks about when we talk about our vacation. Nothing about all the fun we had that week. :sad2: Heh, that's my mom ;) Say 'cruise' to her and it looks like she needs a valium. LOL We had a great week, really.

My kids loved dressing up. My husband, wears a tie everyday, not so much. ;) But he did it for me and I love him for that. No ties, but like the above poster said, khaki's and nice shirts.

Pet Peeve: My mother going out on the verandah way too early in the morning and talking LOUDLY to the kids next to us!

Sounds like he was the one who was...ahem...drained.

What a story, wow.

I just hate to dress up too, and honestly, I cant fathom how what I am wearing (within reason of course) has any effect on anyone around me. The people who have their cruise ruined by the guy at the next table who is in shorts just mystify me.

Having Pet peeves....while on a Disney Cruise. It's something we enjoy almost more than anything else...and nothing anyone does is going to upset me.

My pet peeve is that I can't get half and half for my coffee in cabanas. I actually have to get it at the drink kiosk and bring it in with for my meal.

Our pet peeve is when your trying to get off the elevator and the doors open and the people waiting to get on just come on in or squeeze by while we are trying to get off the elevator. Geez! Wait for us to get out and THEN get on it!!! It was if they didn't hurry and get in it then the elevator was going to slam the doors shut and leave them. Some people are so clueless and rude!! :sad2:

Totally agree with chair hoggers! And the table hoggers that set their things on a table in the shade and then don't come back until they are ready to go!

Thats why we take the stairs:cool1:. It helps burn the calories:banana:

We always took the stairs if we were only going a few floors. Once when we got out of the theater it was SO crowded so we took the stairs all the way up. We laughed about it but toward the top I started getting tired.
Another think I never understood was the ones that would wait and wait for the elevator and then would be only going one floor!  What is up with that?! They didn't look like they had any disability and some were even kids.

4 disney cruises and never in an elevator, its not that im clever , its cause i have zero patience.some folk ride the elevator to the gym,,:lmao: my pet peeve is having to come home.

That's funny. I'll admit I've overdone it in the gym on deck and practically cried cause I had to walk stairs (couldn't stand to squeeze into an elevator all sweaty.)
It's pretty funny in retrospect.

My pet peeve is the folks with the larger stroller that take up most of the hallways..and they won't let you by... Or if they have a double stroller they try to cram it into an elevator that has folks already in it..and they are hitting your ankles and legs trying to get it to fit... :confused3

Leading on from the post above, my pet peeve is able bodied people crowding into the lifts and watching while disabled, or those with strollers wait and wait for space in the elevator to become available to them. If you can walk, be thankful for that gift and give the space to someone who is not so lucky.

We cruised after doing goofy challengs, still, I went down the stairs, fell and got back up, on I went, never spilt a drop of wine :lmao::lmao:

My goal is to walk 9 laps on Wonder's Deck 4 --- hopefully every day (that should be about 3 miles). Hubby and I don't want to pack on the pounds like the last cruise :yay:
