We will be going in Aug of 2016! I love HS... ToT is my fave ride. TSMM has become another favorite and we love Star Tours. I also enjoy the shopping there. And now I hear the carrot cake cookie will or is sold somewhere else! So now with writers stop closing we hopefully can still enjoy that delicious treat :-)

I have heard that Sweet Spells, next to Starring Rolls, sells the cookies too. They are not closing, but I don't know if they will still sell the cookie. Writer's Stop will be closing April 2, 2016, along with a bunch of other stuff around it.

We're planning two days there during our trip, but I suspect neither will be full days: one RD day and one late start for Fantasmic day.

We do have a 14 day trip though, which makes it easier.

We will be there in April and I am hoping they keep those Star Wars fireworks going!

We plan to do two days there out of ten in May. They won't be full days, but long enough to do what we like and some things we haven't done before. We've still never seen Fantasmic, and I've never done RnR (DW won't, but the two older kids are tall enough now). We also have at least one Star Wars fan (me; DD10 and DS7 loved Ep7, so they're getting into it now) and one certified Frozen groupie (DD5), who wants to see the sing-along show.

I voted no but we won't be there more than a couple of hours... TSM, R&R, TOT and ST....then off to another park. :)

Yep! It's the kids first trip and we have seven day PHs. We'll do all the SW stuff for Hubby and catch all the shows that remain. DS is bummed about LMA, but there is still plenty to see.

DHS is my favorite park. I go for the atmosphere rather than attractions at all the parks and walking into the golden age of Hollywood just makes my day. I'm also a Star Wars fan so the added attractions there are a nice addition. And of course ToT is my favorite ride in any of the parks. So, no, I won't be skipping DHS this year.

No plans on skipping...ever since Backlot tour closed we stopped going to the back side of the park so these new closures won't impact us.

I have an AP so don't have to spring for an extra day or ParkHopper to visit so I'll still go. I had fallen into a certain pattern regarding how much time I spend in each park but next month I'll be cutting back on how often I'll be at both Epcot and DHS. Will have a little more down time and some extra MK and AK instead.

Since we have park hoppers we always visit Hollywood at least one morning followed by another park. And then also spend one night in the park following our morning park. (This allows us to FP both of our favorites TSM and RNR)

We will be spending 2 of our 10 park days at DHS this year. It's DH's favorite park, DS is obsessed with Toy Story, and all of us love Star Wars. Yes, they have closed/are closing a lot, but most of what's gone was filler stuff anyway (though I am sad about Honey I Shrunk the Kids). We skipped a lot of the shows last time, so we are looking forward to seeing them again in June.

Same here, we always spend 2 out 10 days at HS. We usually do SWW. DD was a photopass photographer at HS during DCP, so it's her favorite park. It's "blasphemy" in my home to say anything negative about HS :snooty:.

While I am disappointed with the closures, we will not skip. We had planned on doing the Honey I Shrunk play area this time but oh well. One thing we will NOT do is Frozen.

Closing both Pizza Planet and Backlot Express will put a crunch on the QS restaurants. We had planned on eating TS less this time around. I have DH & DS reservations to Dine with an Imagineer, but I had planned on Pizza Planet for us. I absolutely hate the Commissary. The girls only eat chicken or pizza. They do love salads though.

I won't be skipping DHS because it has several of my favorite attractions. Epcot, on the other hand . . .

With a 7 year old boy? We will not be skipping it! Not a lot else going on at Disney that focuses on boys, so we will be enjoying every bit of the Star Wars attractions.

Can someone tell me what's not going to running this year and why it may put me of going ?
