Why on earth is soooo much not going to be running all at the same time ???

DHS will be our final park day and we plan to arrive late morning, have a 4pm dinner at MM and see Fantasmic at 7pm. We will ride, see and do all we can!!

What got me started thinking about skipping it this year was a map that I saw posted that marked the area of the park that would become a construction zone. Can't find it again of course. I was wondering if the park would seem more crowded with the area of the park being closed off and not having that area to spread the people out. I guess we will see what evevyone reports when it gets under way.

DHS used to be a full day park for us and one of our favorites. I don't think we are going to skip it, but it's definitely going to be a shorter visit now. We will most likely hit rope drop and be back at the resort in the pool by 1pm.

I'm starting to think about plans for November 2016. With all the closures and construction, I'm considering skipping DHS this trip. What will you do?
For our family, Animal Kingdom has been enough Park for one day, unlike many people who find it to be a half-day Park.

That's how we look at Hollywood Studios - as a half-day Park.

In that TOT is a contender for best attraction on property, no way would I skip DHS. I'll admit that at present, I only need a few hours at DHS to cover the bases.

Won't skip it but not a full day. It's worth it for TSMM, RnRC, ToT, Star Tours, and F! Prob would skip if we didn't have a hopper.

That's quite a list. We will miss the Honey I Shrunk the kids play area, Monsters Inc character meet, Mater/McQueen meet, and LMA show but we still have the Hollywood & Vine character breakfast, TSMM, Buzz & Woody meet & greet, Great Movie Ride, TOT, Star Tours, Star Wars Launch Bay, JTA, Disney Jr Live show, and Fantasmic on our itinerary so it will still be a very enjoyable day for my crew.

We will more than likely be skipping DHS in 2016 because we are more than likely won't be making a WDW trip this year. I think it is time for us to wait for some of this new construction to be mostly finished. When does Avatarland open?

I voted no, because if I was going in 2016 I would not skip HS. I don't have any 2016 plans at this time however!

We'll go there, but if I had to buy a standalone ticket, not sure that I would. But we have APs, so it's OK.

We are actually skipping disney compleatly this year. We went the last four years in a row. So we are going to universal this year and Oregon and Northern California in 2017. Then we will go and see all the new things that opened up at disney world in 2018.

Absolutely not. There are still tons of great things to do at DHS. If anything, I need to go there even more now. We are a Star Wars family

Won't be skipping it, but we will visit it on the day we head to the airport to fly home. We originally had it booked for a full day, but decided to change that day to a full day at Universal/IOA. We can get to DHS at RD, do everything we want to do, and be in a taxi back to the airport by 3:30 in plenty of time for our 6:30 flight. The only thing we will not do that we usually do is have a TS meal in the park. Which is unfortunate given how poor the CS options are there.

We are in the early stages of planning out our November 2016 trip and that was the topic of conversation with my DH after we booked. I asked him should we even consider going there because of the all of the closures that were announced and possibly even more closures to come. He suggested that we would just go for a half day since there are still things that will be opened (hopefully) that we all really enjoy...for instance, RnRC, TSM, Star Tours, Muppets 3D, One Man's Dream (if the original movie is back and they aren't previewing any upcoming features there), ToT (more for the kids and him), TGM, B&TB, and then either a lunch at either Mama Melrose or Sci Fi. DHS has always been one of our favorite parks to tour (we would always go at least twice during our stay), but with everything going on there now, I agree with my DH, that until all of the new lands are opened up, it will be a half day park for us for sure.
