Hi

We have HH area for our OKW/WDW vacation in August and now that we have it I am wodering if I wouldn't prefer our previous favorite area Old Turtle Pond Rd.

WE have never stayed in the HH area and are wondering what others find most appealing about this area or why others avoid it.

We were there in Dec. and stayed in building 62 on Miller's road. If I could do it all over again, I would want to stay in the exact same building. It was right across the street from the HH and had an elevator.
The problem is that you have to request that building and aren't guaranteed to get it.
On this same trip, we were originally in the Turtle Pond area. They had to put us there for one night and then had to move us due to scheduled room maint. Although the entire resort is beautiful, I liked the convenience of being close to the HH and really liked being able to get off at the first bus stop after a long day at the park w/ the kids :)
Have fun on your trip!

I like the South Point section. If you enjoy walking or running, you can go to the back of it and hit a trail over to SSR. It's a beautiful walk. It's also close to a quiet pool. :thumbsup2

I do wished I knew where we stayed our first visit to OKW. We had a golf course view that was AMAZING. We haven't been to OKW since Dec '06, so I'm having withdrawals! I think that's our next DVC stop (next year). :goodvibes

Really can't go wrong imho at any location ( we own at OKW & it ! <yep Buckeye Fan know what you mean - can't wait to get back there> ::yes:: )

Southpoint is very quiet, relaxing, pool usually isn't crowded at all, depending on building may have a canal view, furthest from HH but about 10 minute walk / less via bus, most convenient if you're inclined to walk to SSR or DTD.

A building near Miller's or HH
can give you a kind of best of both - convenience to HH area and quiet pool at Miller's.

Decisions, decisions :scratchin but that's the fun in planning ! :goodvibes
