I love this!

Best quote of the thread!
This is an entertaining thread, and it is particularly interesting to read the posts that the OP deleted but others quoted. I do wonder if the OP has ever stayed at the Poly or is just anticipating lots of commoners on "her" beach?
We've paid to stay at the Poly and have watched the fireworks from the beach. It's nowhere near as cool as watching it from MK, and the beach was never anywhere remotely near standing room only (but I can see how it would be on July 4 - all of WDW is standing room only!) I've never had it be a problem that it was so crowded that we couldn't find a seat, and if it had been, I certainly wouldn't have been demanding to see room keys. I would have just known to arrive earlier the next time, or I would have stood. Wishes doesn't go on for hours.
What's next? You must finish dinner at least 15 minutes prior to Wishes so you don't accidentally view it from my Poly airspace? This thread ranks right up there with the thread about the resort monorail being only for monorail resort guests who show a room key.
We have stayed AKL CL, but we have also been over the AKL many, many times to eat and look at the animals. We never felt like interlopers when we weren't resort guests, and we never noticed or cared if the people in line for night vision goggles were AKL guests or "the common folk" from GF.
Having patio chairs being taken would be annoying and the pool is too small for the resort, but guests on the beach? Is that really that much of a problem? I'd advise that those so sensitive might instead rent a home in one of Orlando's gated communities.
And as far as working to pay for a deluxe (or value, or moderate, or a tent space), don't most of us? I've never been given a free trip to WDW, but if I were, I'd be so grateful I'd sleep in my car if I needed to.
It amazes me what people can get worked up about. Disney encourages people to visit their resorts, and most are attractions unto themselves. No one has ever looked down on me for wanting to get my picture taken with a giant Pongo.
