Thanks every one for all the opinions. I'm really looking forward to going now, thanks to all of you :thumbsup2 . Good or bad I can't wait to let every one know when I get home.Tina :grouphug:

I think most folks should try. We did, but probably won't go back. Like others, we ate there many years ago and it was great, then did it again and it was terrible.

FAST forward: We were in WDW for 2 weeks (April 23-May15, 2006) and ate there twice. The first night just 2 of us. Server was top-notched. Both had the cesaer salad with scallops, and it was great (so was the bread). DH had a fish dish and said it was good. I had the steak and it was OK, (I orginally booked this place because the menu had filet and swordfish, both good choices, then the menu changed in March). The deserts were good too. The next week we took family members. The server was not good at all. Two of us had the crab cakes and found them bland and tastless. The others had fish and said it was good. Deserts were again good. No one was wowwed and particularly not happy with our service.

Two days ago: Making ADRs for our August trip. I already had one for Coral Reef and asked DH if he wanted to eat there again or try someplace else. He said to cancel the ADR as he (nor I) was interested in going again any time soon.

If the menu changes, we may try again, but will pass for now. However, we ate at LeCelliers (3 times) and the food and service was great every time (and had not great meals in the past). Also, surprisingly after a bad experience at the Concourse Steakhouse last year, we tried them again and had the best meal we've ever had there and an absolutely wonderful server! So folks should always try, even if they read bad reviews.

Can you please share what you had? I've got ADRs there and don't want to be too disappointed.

We were a party of four, and three of us had different seafood dishes (crabcake, Salmon, Mahi Mahi) and we had one vegetarian who had the Vegetable Strudel. The crabcake tasted more like Elmers Glue than crab, while the other fish did not taste fresh. None of us are particularly fussy, and we all disliked the food. Our vegetarian friend said the vegetarian dish was inedible--she sent it back virtually untouched. We asked our server for some other vegetarian option, and were blown off.

In fairness, the appetizers were pretty good, as were the desserts. Also, from what I read on these boards, the steak there is OK, but I refuse to eat steak at a seafood restaurant.

We have been twice. First time we had an ok meal but fell in love with the drink called "Octopus juice" It is a must for those old enough!! The second time the meal was aweful and service even worse..Sorry. But we still enjoyed our Octopus juice (Pina colada with chambord) The seating and view of the tank are great!! Hope you have a nice time.

i loved it we did it for new years 2 years ago make sure to get the seabisque soap awesome

:thumbsup2

I don't know if it's b/c of the tanks or what, but I really like the coral reef. The last time we were there in 2002, I had pirahna...that's worth it just for the novelty! LOL

Anyway, their desserts are pretty good too :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
and of course the lobster bisque...

I've been there 3 times, and would probably always put it on the list...
