Usually we pick up some Chinese food, or I make something. But this year, my son's teacher told the class to eat hamburgers to get strong. So I am making homemade teriyaki burgers.

Chinese New Years is coming up. Will you be doing anything to celebrate it?

I used to work as an Activities Director where we celebrated EVERYTHING -- I loved Chinese New Year! All the Chinese residents would make their version of dumplings and bring them to a big potluck, and the building managers supplied fried rice and some other dishes.

This year I'm going to try making my own dumplings, so wish me luck!

Sounds like a yummy feast! What type of dumplings are you planning on making?

No Chinese New Year for us

I wish I could have fruit/nut trees my mom had a walnut tree growing up. But alas I have no green thumb.

We have a peach tree and black walnut trees. Growing up we had apple trees, grape vines, a pear tree, plum trees, gooseberry bushes, currant bushes, mulberry trees and a hickory nut tree and wild rhubarb grew in our yard.

Do you eat cookie dough when you bake cookies?

Nope....momma always said it would give me worms. ;)

However, I do have a recipe for egg-less cookie dough and its meant to be eaten as a cookie dough dessert. I haven't made it yet but i'm looking for to it.
