In my opinion Casey Jr is the most underated ride. Last year when my son couldnt ride big thunder mountain we called Casey Jr Little thunder mountain. He loved it. He wanted to go on it again and again. I personally enjoyed it also. Fun little ride that has plenty of eye
candy. Doesn't get enough credit in my opinion.

Overated hands down Pirates. Even though better than Disneyworld because of the second drop, I just find it quite boring. I remember how disappointing it was the first time I rode it. It was a let down. I just think that there is not enough thrill in what I guess is considered an e ticket attraction.

While I agree that Casey Jr is underrated, I strongly disagree with you about Pirates. The details throughout that entire attraction are just incredible. There are soooooo many endless things to see. I would not consider it a thrill ride (like Space Mountain), but I would consider it an incredible e ticket attraction. I have ridden it countless times and still see something new every now and then. It's really an incredible attraction with a storyline and great details.

Of course, the great part about Disney is everyone loves something and it certainly doesn't have to be the same for all. :goodvibes

Boooooo, hissssssss, boooooooo!

None are overrated since none require a ticket to board :)

Underrated? Storybook Land Canal Boats.

Since POTC is my favorite ride at all of DLR I can't agree it is overrated.

Most overrated is probably Roger Rabbit. Or maybe (gasp!) Its a Small World.

Underrated: King Arthur's Carousel. I know, I know, you can ride a carousel anywhere right? True. But this to me is the most special carousel anywhere and is right at the heart of everything. So much to see and so beautiful with so much history. Must be the mom in me talking.

Overrated: Matterhorn. While I love that it is an original Walt Disney ride, I feel like it's been neglected. I'm excited to see the new seats but I'm thinking they should have also focused a little attention on the ride itself :::ducks and hides.

Most overrated -- IASW. You ride along in a boat while the same song plays over and over and watch little figures bob around. I don't get it.

One of the most over-looked rides in DCA is Heimlich's Chew Chew train. As you go through the ride different scents are released. Heimlich's narration is funny for parents and children. All of Bug's Land is well themed! :thumbsup2 In DLR, I would say Peter Pan's Flight! When I went to the parks when I was younger I bypasses this ride for the big thrill rides. As an adult, I look back and say.."What was I thinking?" You could spend an hour describing all of the awesome details on this ride. For me, I feel like I am a kid again every time I ride it.
As for overrated? I would say all of Toontown. While I understand the theme of a cartoon land, after going through the town once there is no reason to return. My DD5 always wants to bypass it when we are in the parks, which makes us happy! They could do wonderful things with that area of the park. Also, Monsters Inc....ugh..talk about being underwhelmed!

Toontown is a real yawner. I wish they'd replace it with some kind of land/rides that showcase the Marvel comics super heroes.

I used to enjoy the old submarine ride, but think the Nemo refurb is underwhelming. Maybe it's just my age. And don't get me started on the unenchanting Tiki Room.

With all the fuss over WOC, Fantasmic has become somewhat underrated. It's o.k. to enjoy both!

I agree on storybook canal boats My family loved it. I don't think Peter Pans flight is underated because of the long lines all day. As for Pirates don't get me wrong I loke the ride I just think it should be more like indy but on water if you get what i am saying. Just my opinion. I have to say I guess its slow moving si people can see all the details.

I think the Storybookland Canal Boat Ride is underrated as well.

Maybe I am not a big enough PotC fan, but I think the ride is over hyped. Both at DL and WDW.

IASW may be overrated for adults, but many children are mesmerized by it, so as an overall family ride, it is not overrated.

That being said, I am going make the same mistake and call TSMM overrated. It's a video game. I can find an arcade anywhere, and other games do not give me tennis elbow and don't require a 45 minute wait.

Underrated--Mr. Toad: classic and creative.

This is a great question!
Underrated: Casey, Jr. I made my 14 year old son go on with me last year (he was slightly mortified), but then he had to admit it was a pretty nice ride!
Overrated: Rodger Rabbit's Cartoon Spin. That ride gives me a headache.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say the entertainment at Disneyland is WAY underrated. I have said it before, but there is no theme park in the world I know of where you can see a show like Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. Or the Dapper Dans, or the local talent which performs at Tomorrowland Terrace. How about the Enchanted Tiki Room? That's absolutely amazing! Other theme parks focus on rides, whereas Disneyland is all about the overall experience. Sometimes my wife and I will go to DL and just watch shows. Even if the only ride we get on is the parking lot tram we still feel like we had a great day.

My favorite for truly underrated would be the refurbished Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island. It's full of secret caves, hideouts and treasure and one of the better places in DL that kids can actively interact with their environment (versus passively riding and having the environment act on them as in most rides).

Overrated? Toontown or Innoventions.

Under rated....any of the 5 DLRR trains
Over rated.....Autopia

Underated: Screamin' ! I think it is a Fabulous Coaster! So smooth and Exciting! Really a awesome thrill ride! :woohoo:

Overated: Toontown, and the old Hollywood backlot area, looking forward to seeing the improvements to this area...

I have to agree with Storybook being one of the most underrated ride. It is one of my favorites! :)

I think one of the most overrated rides would have to be Soarin' over California. While very enjoyable, I just don't understand the hype around it. *ducks for cover*

One of the most over-looked rides in DCA is Heimlich's Chew Chew train. As you go through the ride different scents are released. Heimlich's narration is funny for parents and children. All of Bug's Land is well themed! :thumbsup2
I agree. Heimlich's Chew Chew Train is one of our favorites.

As far as overrated....there are some I don't care for nor will choose to ride (Astrorbitor, Autopia) but that's different than overrated. I think TSMM is overrated. Its fun, yes, but not fabulous and definitely not worth the wait on either coast.

ETA: And I'm not a huge fan of Soarin' either.

Underrated: Storybookland Canal Boats. It is my favourite, especially at night.

Overrated: Finding Nemo, especially given the wait. What a disappointment <insert huge yawn here>.
