I booked brunch and dinner, but we are on a 7 night cruise. Not sure I'll keep the dinner ressie though. We have a few fine dining Italian restaurants that we frequent and I'm afraid we will be disappointed.

I have been to Massachussets, and you guys have some excellent Italian restaurants. Palo dinner will likely not be quite as good. On the other hand, do you have any high-end Italian restaurants where you can have antipasto, salad, entree, share another entree, and dessert for two people for $50? :woohoo:

(We always add a little for an additional tip, plus wine costs a little extra, of course)

We have done both multiple times, but the last few cruises we have chosen to just do brunch. We love the MDR for dinner and we just like brunch better.

I will say that we have done brunch on the Fantasy several times, and just did brunch on the Magic in January. We like the Fantasy brunch better. The lasagna on the Fantasy is awesome and they did not offer it on the Magic.

Well! I have to say I was excited already - but I'm beyond excited after seeing your photos. Thank you very much for sharing! Steamed Crab, Trout and Salmon Mousse and Caviar... not at all what I was expecting.

To be fair, this is a little like asking which kid is your favorite. Brunch and dinner are very different experiences at Palo, and that makes each meal special.

Dinner tends to be a romantic or semi-romantic evening (semi- if there are four or six people at your table ;) ) It is a several course meal served at the table in an upscale setting. Like going to the nicest restaurant in town for your anniversary dinner.

Brunch is a more casual affair with an explosion of food. A huge buffet, and the kitchen will also deliver made-to-order items, like veal saltimboca.

We always do both brunch and dinner. However, since you forced me to choose, I would, just barely, choose brunch.

If you haven't seen my photos of the Magic, including every last item on the buffet at Palo brunch, check out my facebook album "Disney Magic, Reimagined..."

Done Both Loved Both??!?!??!?!?

If I were on a 7 night, I'd do both. If I were on a 4 night, I'd skip dinner so I wouldn't miss the MDR.

Woohoo!!!! Folks, meet Twinkie!!!

Yes one glass of sparkling wine or mimosa is included with brunch. There is a little alcoholic nip included with dinner. A lemon (shot sized, sipped) beverage.

Dinner always takes longer than brunch for us, about 2hours. We are done with brunch in an hour and a half.

How long does brunch & dinner typically take?

Depends on if you eat American style or European/Latin style. Brunch we average a bit over two hours. Dinner is a solid 2.5 for us as a couple, more if we're in a large group.

Round down if you're eat-and-run diners.

Brunch and dinner are pretty close for me... both are very good. As long as you are sitting in Palo, you can't go wrong. :thumbsup2

Since you're making me choose, I pick dinner. ;)

i've had brunch on the Dream. it was a wonderful experience. Just outstanding. I enjoy experiencing the rotational restaurants, so I haven't had dinner there, yet... We just booked the brunch on the Magic, so I'm really excited for that. The view is incredible. :)

On wich time you can book a palo brunch or dinner? We live in Europe so we are in a different time zone. Thanks in advance!

The excursion (excursions/adult dining/spa/nursery hours) booking window (as well as the online check in window) opens at midnight Eastern (USA) time. Sorry, don't know what time that would be where you are.

The date it opens depends on your Castaway Club level:

Platinum/Concierge - 120 days out
Gold - 105 days out
Silver - 90 days out
First time cruiser - 75 days out.

Thanks! Eastern (USA) time is the time in Florida right? If it is then is it our time 6.00 a.m.

We are silver. Tuesday is the day that we can book, I hope that we can book a brunch. Fingers crossed ;-)
