Its interesting to see the results nearly evenly divided...
Me being a dad of a 2 year old little girl, I have more respect for other dad's at Disneyland. Usually my wife will take my daughter and go get in line while I go and park the stroller. Then I come up to the line and squeeze through everyone until I catch back up to my girls. So I have respect for other dad's seeing them doing the same thing. But when it's a family of like 6 and one person was holding a spot for all of them, then I start to get annoyed. Go Disneyland dad's!!!!![]()
I am quite surprised at how close this poll is. Seeing the responses in the past I would think it would be at least 90% of the people griping.
I can honestly care less about the line cutters (DW on the other hand). If they need to see the Haunted Mansion ten minutes before I do so be it. I will get there too. I am also a big believer in Karma. Just worry about yourself and do whats right and you will be rewarded.
I have a feeling the people who save ten minutes in line by cutting are getting stuck somewhere else for twenty minutes. Now THAT makes me feel better![]()
Seconded.I think we need a third option on the poll. Something along the lines of "it depends"
I have a teenage girl and they have reasons why they suddenly have to go "potty" too. I am a firm believer in the buddy system so don't be too quick to judge teens that come in pairs.
But how do you know they're really joining their family? From the smirks of superiority as they pass by, I suspect the teens are just trying to see how much line cutting they can get away with. If you ask them to point out their family they can either wave at some total stranger, hoping they'll wave back, or just say the family is already out of sight so they're in a hurry to join them.
oh lordy, being a mommy of THREE little girls, all under 7, there are times we NEED to get in line later, kwim? Potty, etc. Or on the rare occasion that it's a really loooong line and I know that my kids will just annoy the crap out of the other people in line with their whining etc., we will have daddy get in line and then wait close by so the kids can jump and dance and sing, (you know, all the silly, sometimes annoying things little kids do! lol) until he reaches a more manageable place for us to jump in with him. (we did this over spring break for the ariel ride actually) Yes, I know there are those people who say that if your child can't wait in the line, they should not be able to ride, but honestly, the little teeny (I'm talking 2 and under) ones just don't get that, and will make waiting in a huge line living hell for everyone around! lol That being said, with the exception for very young kids, I don't think this should apply to adults/teens at all. Adults should not be able to go get fastpasses for another attraction and then jump in line with others from their party. That's rude and giving them an unfair advantage over others. Why do they think they are better, or their time is more important than EVERYONE else's in the park?? If you want to ride together, you can wait just like everyone else, you know? I'd like to say that I understand adult bathroom trips, but honestly, we were all potty trained by the age of 2, so most people should be able to know BEFORE their party gets in line that they need to make a "tinkle"So I guess I'm a "depends" upon the situation girl too.
I don't understand how people can beo okay with "1 or 2" people meeting up "their family/friends" yet be against a huge group who is cutting.
I do not buy the my child has to use the restroom excuse, if your kid has to use the restroom get out of the line and get back in it after. I don't understand how people can beo okay with "1 or 2" people meeting up "their family/friends" yet be against a huge group who is cutting. Cutting is cutting, there are no "exceptions" I've been known to not let people pass me, and they've gotten all mad but really Disney says not to cut or save spots in lines for rides, you wait for your party and if one has to leave then you should leave too.
No one gets a pass.
