Poll: Has your opinion of President Bush changed?

Has your opinion of President Bush changed since he became President?

  • Yes, I used to approve of him and now I don't.

  • No, I still approve of him.

  • Yes, I used to disapprove of him but now I approve.

  • No, I never approved of him and still don't.

  • Didn't care one way or the other then, and still don't care now.

Results are only viewable after voting.
My opinion of him hasn't really changed. I never did really like him, but was more afraid of Gore and Kerry being in office. I still am. Put him against either Gore or Kerry (or anyone who is as naive as those two were on some very key issues) and I still vote for him, the lesser of two evils. Give me a decent Democrat (meaning not "not your average stand by your man" Hillary or loud mouth Harry), and they have a chance to get my vote.

Unfortunately, I don't think we will get a chance for a moderate from either party. In 2008 we will either get Hillary vs. Condi, or something along the lines of the standard far left Democrat against the far left Republican.

Wish we could have a President Powell.

Well, I never really approved of him at first, I just didn't really care. I voted for Nader in 2000, and figured it didn't matter if Gore or Bush were president. Boy, was I wrong.

I didn't vote because none of the choices seem right to me. I voted for Kerry but it was a SUPER hard decision for me. I didn't like either one.

Being president of the USA must be THE WORST job ever!

I think now, what I thought then, that he is a decent man, who isn't too intelligent, that is way overmatched in his job. He's just not smart enough. But "I" think he does the best he can with limited skills.

Your description of Bush matches mine exactly.

I was open and even gave George a chance-he even looked like a leader after 9-11, but something went wrong somewhere.

It is really bad when you are the president of the US and cannot even get your Supreme Court nominee confirmed by both houses of Congress controlled by your own party. Same with the port deal.

I, too, would like to see a middle of the road candidate in 2008, democrat or republican.

I didn't think my opinion could get worse about him but then the Terri Schiavo thing, then Katrina, then the scandal after scandal. Is there anything lower than rock bottom? :rolleyes1

a little bit. I used to be ok with him. now I seriously dislike him.

Hated him then, hate him more now. I think he represents the absolute worst of humanity. I honestly feel bewildered and betrayed that people voted for him. I just can't understand it. :confused3

What was the point of that? :rolleyes2

You're entitled to your opinion, I'm entitled to mine.

Nope, it's stayed exactly the same! I hated him then and I dispise him now!
Oh wait, I guess it did change :rolleyes1

voted for him the first time. started to see the error of my ways (and his entire administration) about mid 2003, was profoundly depressed when he won yet again in 2004. Not sure our country will survive another three years of this.

He was the governor of my state twice and I definitely did not vote for him. I voted for Gore and the lesser of two evils in 2004(Kerrry). So, as you can see, my opinion of him hasn't really changed.

I travel a lot and discussions always come up about bush. I have never been able to defend him because his views and mine are polars apart. Plus his actions can be considered terrorism. I have always felt that his overall skills are extremely limited. I find him a complete embarrassment.

I will always remember the cover of the Daily Mirror the morning after: "U.S election disaster. How can 59,054,087 people be so dumb."

The poll vote I need is not there. My opinion has definitely changed. I simply did not agree with him at first, and now I seriously think he and his advisers have been very dangerous for this country, to put it mildly, on so many levels.

He's not even a good politician. I still don't understand how he got there.

Where are all the good guys???

(I don't say gals because I just don't see that happening yet in this country.)

You know what? Maybe that's the problem! I now decree that only women may run this country. The men just keep screwing up! ;)

Because with Gore and Bush, didn't love either of them, but did like him better than Gore. I didn't vote for a democrat that time, but I should have for Gore. (actually, doesn't matter because my state votes went for Gore) People probably voted for him based on their strong dislike for Gore.

I voted for Kerry, but obviously he wasn't a strong candidate either.

Okay, let it be so!

I'd at least like a woman to get the chance for heaven's sake!! So strange that it's taking so long in this "progressive" country. I'm not a militant feminist, but I sure would have thought it would be happening by now.

I thought Bush would be better than Gore in 2000, but I voted Libertarian.

Now I would vote for Gore!
