At a clean place yet...at Golden Corral or another huge feeding trough with the dirty people and snot nosed kids...NO THANK YOU. Haven't eaten at one in years now that I think about it.
I refuse to eat at buffets...gross people, gross food. Serving spoons have to be disgusting...YUCK.
Guess it is that way anywhere...but if we can't see the kitchen we think it is ok.
Very rarely for me. I'm not much of a salad eater, anyhow. I had some nasty experiences with rotten lettuce back in the 60's while overseas and I haven't cared much for it since. If I do eat lettuce, it has to be fresh and crispy.
Only in Disneyworld will I eat at a buffet. You just have to let go of the rules so you can go to Chef Mickeys!
Otherwise, I think it's not good to gorge yourself like that and buffets encourage overeating. Really, it's better for all of us to get a meal and eat till we are comfortable and take the rest home. The buffet atmosphere creates the mentality to eat to get your money's worth..and omg..that idea makes me cringe.
Back when Cici's was still $3.99 and my youngest was still under 3 we would go from time to time, but we haven't been since my dd's 3rd bday. Heck, she is almost FIVE now. It's just not worth $5 an adult, and $3 ish for kids, IMO. So we haven't been to a buffet in over two years except for Disneyworld!
I've seen too many kids (and adults!) cough on the salad bar, pick stuff up with their hands (and sometimes put it back!). Plus, the whole breathing on the food thing just gives me the icks.
