Poll: DL vs WDW

Ok so which park do you prefer ?

Personally i find the charm of Disneyland better than WDW, it has that special Walt feel while WDW doesn't quite make it.

WDW does have the basic Disney charm though and it does have a lot more to see.

So for me I think DL is slightly higher in affection but I like both a great deal.

I personally love Disneyland. I have never been to another Disney park besides the ones in California. But I have seen my cousins home video of DisneyWorld before and there is a world of difference.

Do you mean Disneyland vs. Magic Kingdom or DLR vs. Walt Disney World?

I accidently voted "WDW", but then I saw the "I've only been to one." That would be me. But, I like WDW a lot!

I've been to both and I took it to be WDW vs DLR as a whole. I think the MK area of WDW and DL are equal to me. Some rides are better at DL than MK, but as a whole I feel DL is too crowded and the paths are too narrow for my tastes.

As a whole, I can see why Walt Disney was disappointed. Being able to see and hear reality while at DL did get to me. I like going to WDW and feeling like I am "away from it all". It really feels like a whole new world to me.

However, DtD at DLR blows away WDWs. I wish they would take cues from that one and imprve WDW's.

Of course WDW has Epcot and AK... DCA is cute but not enough to make up for the lack of those two. I put it on par with MGM in style and over all feel (though I know it is different).

Over all WDW wins. Even the MK vs DL... well it's tough but for over all feel MK has a slight edge to me. The castle size alone is almost enough to make that choice for me

I don't know how to vote. If you're comparing Disneyland to the Magic Kingdom, I vote for Disneyland. If it's Disneyland vs. all of WDW, then I choose WDW just because it's a huge resort and so much to do.

Out of DL and WDW, I prefer DL.
But right now, I'd prefer DLP... no air planes, you know

DL lays the smackdown on MK.

As a whole, I like WDW better but only because it has Animial Kingdom and 2 water parks. and lots of nice restaurants at the hotels. Were it just MK, Ep, and DS, DLR would win.

I voted depends on my mood.

WDW is bigger and has so much more to offer. Plus we own DVC there so we are going to visit there a lot more often.

However Disneyland has a wonderful charm to it that WDW can't come close to. Plus it is Walt's park and it is wonderful to be able to walk the grounds he walked and see things the way he would have seen them.

That's a tough choice!!!

DL has a real classic feel. The attractions seem more "complete" somehow.

WDW is amazing in it's size and scope (if you include everything), but I missed some of the things DL had that WDW doesn't.

Of course, I've only been to DL once (in 2001) and barely saw half the park. And I've only been to WDW once (in 2005) and I KNOW I didn't see it all in 4 days!

I agree with helenabear about the "away from it all" aspect of WDW. You could spend weeks there and never leave property or see everything. I think you could probably do just about everything at DLR in a much shorter time period.

I like the restaurants and the larger variety of accomodations better at WDW but like the size of the resort better at DL.

I've been to both...and I like wdw much better!! I like how at wdw it is like your in a whole different world...at dl...you can see everyday traffic right there... just not as magical...but I like DCL better than wdw and dl combined!!There is so much more to do at wdw too... dl is nice...but doubt I'll go there more than 3 or 4 times

We like DL much more than the MK, but the rest of WDW is what makes it #1 with us.

Now if only we were as close to WDW as we are to DL.

There's just no comparison for me--DLR was the prototype, but WDW was the fully realized dream.

Don't get me wrong, there are things I like about DLR--in fact, I'm planning another visit in November. But it's not WDW and never could be!
