Political Turmoil and Free Food

I predict that the availability of free dining in the fall and winter will turn on the political situation. If there is continued political unrest and oil goes up, then airfares go up and travel goes down. In order to bring back the tourist, that portion of the trip budget lost to travel cost will have to be made up somehow and food is a good way of making it up. Of course it could be by discounts as well.

I think Disney must be hopeful for the future in general. Otherwise i doubt they would be doubling Fantasyland, building a new Hotel (animation) and expanding in California theme parks as well.

I agree, also with the earthquake in Japan and damage to Tokyo Disneyland it's going to hurt their profits all the way around if they don't offer discounts to make sure those rooms are filled here in the states.

They have offered FD in the fall and winter when times were much better than they are now. I can't see WDW not offering it again this year. How many times have they offered a FD PIN for all the summer months???

Hopefully gas prices go down a little before our May trip. I'm not holding my breath.

I'm so glad that we booked our airfare when we did. It's already gone up about $40 pp, that's $160 for us. And I really hope they offer FD as it would save us even more money. I'm currently book with a 35% off pin but FD would save us more since we are already book with the DDP.
