I went to check out the political compass website that someone linked here yesterday, and thought I'd start a new thread for people to take the quiz and post your scores. (No real political commentary...just post where you fall on the spectrum)

It is read, left to right, from -10.00 to +10.00, and top to bottom from 10.00 to -10.00


Mine (should come as no surprise):

Economic Left/Right: -7.00
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.26

Which puts me down there with Nelson Mandela and the Dalai Lama...Pretty good company

Which I think means I'm a slightly right leaning moderate which strikes me as pretty accurate.

although, I'll say there were many questions where I felt like the answer I wanted to give was not there; ie. I don't see a lot of issues as yes / no.

I don't remember my exact score and to be honest I'm not sure I could take it again what with my short attention span and all. But I fell almost exactly dead center. Actually about 1 tic left and half-a-tic libertarian.

Bit of a surprise for me

Economic Left/Right: 1.62
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 0.10

I fall right on the line between Authoritarian and Libertarian. Slightly more Libertarian than Paul Martin & Gerhard Schroeder; much more Libertarian than Tony Blair and a whole lot more than Pres. Bush.

Interesting test.

Left Right: 1.12 and Authoritarian/Libertarian: 0.31. Seems pretty accurate for me. Not sure I agree with where they put all of their examples though. We've done this before I think, and it is a bit Anglo-centric in wording and item selection and the comparisons they make.
