Police: 'Spitting' Teen Shocked With Taser At Disney

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A teen was shocked with a Taser gun and several others were detained at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom theme park after they attacked officers responding to reports they were spitting at guests, according to police.

A Disney security guard said three teens and two adults who were visiting the Magic Kingdom from Long Island Sunday were spitting at guests and cursing.

When a sheriff's deputy responded, the five are accused of punching and kicking the officer and other security guards at the park.

Good for the police! In most, states spitting is considered a misdemeanor assault, and is disgusting at that. I personally think the offenders should be barred from the parks and all Disney property for life.

Good for Disney for calling in the police, instead of looking the other way. Maybe finally the tide will turn and rude, disruptive guests will be dealt with.

I googled this story and found that they were so unrulely the security officers called the police. Then they attacked the police which is why the taser was used. Where were their parents? I can't imagine kids this young (14 - 19) traveling from NY to Disney without the financial support of adults.

Spitting is nasty. I really dislike any public spitting - even when people spit on the pavement. EEEEEWWWWWW!

ok, this is coming from a cops wife, but.....

you got what you deserved, reguardless of your age. (the article does not state the ages, just "teens" which could be anywhere from 13-19. even if they were 13, they should know better than to do anything that even comes close to "attacking" and officer.) and no, dispite what some citizens say.....it is not part of an officers job to be disrespected or assaulted. it is their job to keep others safe, keep even the assulter safe, and enforce the law. then they come home safely to their families just like everybody else. there is no martar/crap taker clause in the oath they take when they are sworn in.

Based on the ages, there is no way they were the parents. The adults were 20 & 19 and the minors were 14, 16, & 17.

Just out of curiosity. I agree they should be kicked out for life. But how can Disney make sure they NEVER get back in? I have always been curious how they keep track.

i am embarrassed to say I am from LONG ISland, and If my kids who are now 14 and 15 ever, ever did anything so disrespectfull like that they would be grounded for a long, long time this makes me sad
