C'mon now, folks. Let's not be so uncharitable.

After all, we don't know the kids' side of the story.

Maybe they got confused and though they were at Six Flags.

:rotfl:

Just out of curiosity. I agree they should be kicked out for life. But how can Disney make sure they NEVER get back in? I have always been curious how they keep track.

All those cameras around that most people do not even notice. It is not a perfect system though.

Another mom from Long Island. I can only hope that I am raising my boys better than to do something as disgusting and disrespectful as this. I understand that two of the offenders are technically "adults", but I think the parents should be held accountable for these kinds of actions, as well as the kids. No more Disney for those kids. I hope they are banned for life.

I was allowed to run around the park (and then parks) by myself by the time I was 14. But I wasn't spitting on people.

Good for the police.

Could these kids and "adults" be more ignorant? Honestly, what possesses people to be this stupid?

I live near a six flags and have to agree..

i am embarrassed to say I am from LONG ISland, and If my kids who are now 14 and 15 ever, ever did anything so disrespectfull like that they would be grounded for a long, long time this makes me sad:mad:

If my 14-year-old ever did anything like this, the taser would be the LEAST of her problems.

Sounds like they got to ride a great ride....Somebody got to "Ride The Lightning!!!" :thumbsup2 :scared1:

OMG that is soooo funny, when I read that I just starting busting out laughing!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
But I agree with most of you in that they should be banned for life. No one has the right to treat any one like the way they did, spitting, cursing, and abusing police officers. That is just disgusting!

The local newscast here in Orlando says these "kids" have indeed been banned from the park forever.

but how do they enforce this?? don't get me wrong these kids deserves to be in alot of trouble, but I'm afraid that something that disney just can't enforce:(

These teens should consider themselves lucky. In many places, you'll get your teeth knocked down your throat for stuff like that. That the cops had to be called in suggests some very unruly behavior. The headline is a bit misleading. The teen was tased for battering a police officer if the story is accurate. So it was more than just a "spitting" teen.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Five New Yorkers who reportedly spat on and swore at Walt Disney World patrons were arrested after they allegedly punched a sheriff's deputy in the face, officials said.

The suspects, all from Shirley, N.Y., ranged in age from 20 to 14 years old. Disney security told authorities they may have been intoxicated.

Security detained the five Sunday after complaints in the Space Mountain area, according to police documents. An all-out brawl erupted when the Orange County sheriff's deputy arrived to help, the incident report said.

The five were in a Disney security office when the deputy arrived, and Brian Guilfoil, 19, was threatening security, according to the report. The officer intervened, and the rest of the suspects allegedly rushed over.

"I was punched in the face with closed fists several times by all the defendants," the deputy wrote. "I defended myself by throwing counter punches in their faces and bodies in an attempt to break free."

The suspects surrounded the deputy and intermittently attacked as he turned, the report said.

The deputy used a stun gun on a 17-year-old girl after she allegedly punched a security officer, and then everyone came under control, according to the report.

All five were arrested on charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence. The 17-year-old also faced charges of battery on a uniformed officer.

Guilfoil and Rose DiPietro, 20, were each released Monday on $2,300 bond. The Associated Press is withholding the names of the other three suspects, who are underage. Authorities would not say Tuesday if the youths were still in custody.

A telephone message left at DiPietro and Guilfoil's telephone number was not immediately returned Tuesday.

A Walt Disney World spokeswoman also did not immediately return a phone message.

My guess is they probably use some of the same security surveillance measures that the Vegas casinos use.

So if I read that article correctly, they circled around a cop and attacked him simultaneously? Borders on felony assault, IMHO. They're lucky only 1 of them got tased.

If they were ALL intoxicated, that means the 20 year old let the younger ones drink, thats real nice.:sad2: Ban and Tase away!:thumbsup2

None of them are of legal age (for drinking). It's 21 in Florida.

I'd love to be a fly on that wall when the girl grows up and gets married and has to explain to her kids and husband why they can't go to Disney.

Does a ban extend nation wide, world wide, or just to WDW? Hopefully, it would extend world wide.
