Police: 'Spitting' Teen Shocked With Taser At Disney

Just out of curiosity. I agree they should be kicked out for life. But how can Disney make sure they NEVER get back in? I have always been curious how they keep track.

They have their finger scans.

Spitting is nasty. I really dislike any public spitting - even when people spit on the pavement. EEEEEWWWWWW!

I am with you all of the way! I hate spitting for any reason (especially in public or in an area where people are walking)....my husand tells our son that "mommy says we can only spit when we are in the woods." I thought this was a great way to explain it to him and it keeps the spit off of my sidewalks.

These kids should be charged with "assult with a bodily fluid"....it has been done before when aids patients spit on officers....who knows what these "thugs" have....and the poor people they spit on...I feel very sorry for them. I am not sure that I could have controlled myself if this would have happened to me (we just returned May 15th)...and I know my husband would have decked who ever spit on me or our children....IMHO, most teens today need to go back to infancy and be re-taught manners and respect.....just gross!!

I'd love to be a fly on that wall when the girl grows up and gets married and has to explain to her kids and husband why they can't go to Disney.

Does a ban extend nation wide, world wide, or just to WDW? Hopefully, it would extend world wide.

She will probably wear it as a badge of honor and brag about it.

I'm from Long Island and I agree with you. Unfortunately the norm here is the person complaining about that type of rude behavior gets attacked. Parents start saying "oh, not my kid they go to church" or "so I'll spit on you". On my block alone we have several trashy people who are rude, don't ever mow their lawns, blast music, race down the blocks, have their kids (under 13 use their cars). And my biggest beef is never picking-up dog ****. I am truly not surpised about this behavior from a Long Islander. True it could and can happen from anyone anywhere, but when a co-worker told me I did say they must be from New York.

Maybe they got confused and though they were at Six Flags.

I wish there was a way to find out the parent's response to all this! Now, I would NEVER let my kids go with a group like that (speaking of their young ages, assuming none of them are parents of teenagers). That being said, if those were my kids, the taser they recieved would be tame compared to what they would get when they got home!

And in defense of all you New Yorkers out there, my DH and I visited NYC last year and found everyone there to be very courteous and helpful! There are bad apples everywhere.

I'm not saying they are bad. The rides were always fun. I am saying I will never go there again because of the people that go there. Thankfully I don't live that close.
But back to this situation..... Attacking a police officer is just wrong.

I am very impressed with the professional control and state of mind that the police officer had. If I had 5 people rush me and start punching, I don't think I would have had the state of mind to grab the non lethal taser, I would have used other tools that are on the on the officers belt. (9mm)

1 or 2 of those kids really could have been banned for life.
