No extra cost. It is an overlay in Wild Artic. You can travel or do the non motion side (watch a bit of the film). And then meet Santa.

There is a good amount, however In my opinion, wild arctic is more intense than Polar Express.

I am one of those people who don't ride roller coasters or do a lot of carnival rides and I don't think there is much motion in either film. Most of the fast movement is actually on the screen where you dive down toward the ice and around cliffs etc in WA and on the train in the movie clips. etc. I have no problem with either version of the ride at SW.
Do a search on You Tube and there are lots of clips of the ride.
