Hey was hoping to get advice if anyone experienced same issue!
I transferred in points on my membership which had a different UY (Dec 18 UY) so I could not view them online. I reached out to DVC via chat asking how many transferred in points I had. The told me I had 125pts transferred in with a 2019 UY - I knew these to be my banked points with a DEC 2018 UY.
I canceled a reservation I had booked which unlocked points I had tied up but when I called up to see my points I was missing 63points. I reached out to DVC and after them checking systems for 90 minutes they were able to determine that these were never banked over from 2018 and you no longer can bank them as it was January.
I expressed to them how I could not see them online and the situation and how I inquired about them and received inaccurate information via chat. DVC said they don’t save phone calls or chats (even though it had been less than 2 months) and that they will use this as a learning experience to help support team do a better job but it was just tough luck.
I had also called up a bunch of times to use these points in November trying to grab an anniversary weekend trip (as was grabbing single days due to weekend being sold out). Disappointing then that no one notified me about these some expiring points that were still bankable! I had not asked about them due to my precious conversation online.
