Points transfer from a master contract with 3 resorts

I have a master contract that is comprised of 3 different resort contracts. I have two major questions regarding transfers from that contract (sorry for the rudimentary questions - this would be my first time transferring).

1) I assume I can only do one transfer from my master contract but combine points in that transfer from several of the resorts under my master contract. Is that correct or can I (/ must I) transfer from each resort contract separately?

2) If my transfer is limited to a single transfer with points from multiple resorts can I transfer to someone who has a contract with only a single resort? In other words does the recipient of the transfer need to have 3 or more resorts under their master contract to accept the transfer from the 3 resorts under my master contract?

It sounds like you have 3 contracts in one memberships. Transfers are for moving points into another membership.

Contracts themselves never change size. So, if all your contracts are in the same membership, you simply check them off to use them together.

If they are under different membership numbers, then you can transfer points from one to the other. A temporary contract will be created to hold the points for use.

If you want to transfer points from your membership to another owner, it doesn’t matter what they own, you can transfer whichever points you want to them, from any or all of your contracts, to them, but it must be in a single transaction.

There is no master contract. There is a membership number.

If those contracts have different UYs, or are titled differently, or whatever, you could have a different member number for each one. In that case, they act like separate people. I have two UYs and have to handle my points like this. You could have them all in one membership number, or you could have three different ones. We do not know.

Some people do refer to their first DVC contract as their master contract, with subsequent contract purchases that are titled the same and in the same UY month being called add-ons.

But while your membership might comprise three different contracts, it is important not to confuse your "membership" or "ownership" with the term "master contract."

But I'm old and also get picky when newbie posters want to talk about purchasing an "add-on" with a different use year month...

Sorry for any confusion - I was using the term master contract synonymous with a membership number. All of my additional purchases were done direct and thus added under the same membership number (and thus the same UY). I was pretty sure I could only do one transfer but I wasn't sure what the rules were (if any) for a recipient to be able to accept it; thankfully Sandisw answered that question

I think you misread that link. Like I said in my prior post, your first contract is sometimes called a "master" contract. If you purchase two "add-on" contracts (which requires that they are the same UY month and titled the same), then everything is still under one membership number. The two new contracts are called "add-ons" with respect to your original master contract. The mod was saying that you may have three contracts (the master contract plus two add-ons), but all three contracts would still be under one membership number. But the mod was not making "master contract" equivalent to "membership number."

Some people say, "Yay! I wanted some add-ons to my master contract so I just purchased two resale contracts!" But their original contract had a UY of October while their 2nd 100 pt contract had a UY of Feb and their 3rd 50 pt contract had a UY of Sept...so they have "added" points to their overall ownership, but they do not have "add-on" contracts but three "master" contracts with three separate membership numbers. If they added another 25 pt contract with a Sept UY, then that would be an "add-on" to that 50 pt "master" contract and stay under that same membership number. But while you have 75 pts under that third membership number for the Sept UY contracts - composed of a 50 pt master contract and a 25 pt add-on - you wouldn't refer to that 75 pt membership number as a "master contract."

No big deal but that is how the thinking goes with the lingo.
