Points question

I have just banked some of my points to 2016. Thinking of taking a trip with dd in next use year. If I book with those banked points, then I have to modify or cancel, do they go back into 2016 uy, or do they go into a holding account?

If you cancel at least 31 days before the start of the trip, your points will stay 2016 points

If you cancel within 31 days of the start day of the vacation, then they go into holding and they will remain in your next UY.

Banking and borrowing modifies the UY of the points to the year that you moved them to. You can not borrow or bank the same points again.

Yep. What everyone said. Once points have been banked or borrowed, they must stay in the use year to which they were moved. They can go into holding if you cancel within penalty period as the other posters have said.

Holding Account information:
4. Holding Account Vacation Points. If a confirmed reservation is canceled thirty (30) days or less before the arrival date, the Home Resort Vacation Points used to make that reservation are placed into a Holding Account.

If the OP cancels at 31 days it goes back into her regular 2016 account.
