Points for Transfer: VWL 120 min 140 max @ $10/point

I have 157 banked Villas at Wilderness Lodge points that must be used by 7/31/09 via a rental (i.e. the trip must be completed by 7/31/09). I also want to rent/transfer an additional 143 of my current use year (August 2008) points. I would be willing to do a rental using ~ 300 points. If a transfer of 143 points is made to you, you can bank these points. Please remember that members can now only perform one transfer activity (either transfer in or transfer out) per use year. The price is $10/point. I will only accept cashiers check for payment. I did two very successful transfers with two DISers ~ 2 years ago (enough “2s” in that sentence ). If you are interested or have questions, please PM me or reply to this thread. If interested in a rental, please provide me with the dates, resort and accommodation type (i.e. studio, one bedroom, etc.) that you are interested in as well as any alternates. I'm new to all of this and find it a little confusing. I'm looking to rent a two bedroom villa at Wilderness Lodge for Dec 5-14th. Does this fit in any way with what you are willing to do? Thanks! Boy I feel so dumb with all of this!!

jstroz ~ Unfortunately, 157 of my points must be used (i.e. travel completed) before my new use year begins on 8/1/09. Otherwise, the number of points you need (330) would match up pretty well to what I would like to rent. Any chance you would like to move your trip to before 8/1/09 ???

amber bollon ~ I just called member services and the only studio availabilty for your time frame is Saratoga Springs (60 points for 5 nights). There were one bedrooms at Old Key West available (100 points for 5 nights) for your time frame.

Amber ~ It's probably too late to call you now (It's ~10:30 p.m. here in Indiana). Here's the details: 60 points for 5 nights in a studio at Saratoga Springs @ $10/point would be $600. I believe I would need the names of all guests (max occupancy of 4) and your address. Here's where trust comes into play . Once I make the reservation, you would need to mail me a cashier's check for $600. When I receive your payment, I will send you the reservation information. Once that is all done, I'm sorry, but I cannot offer a refund if you change your mind. If you respond to this message tonight or early tomorrow morning (anything before 10 on a Saturday or Sunday is early to me ), I can call member services in the morning and verify that there is still availability and make the reservation. I will email you tomorrow sometime after I have had a chance to look up travel prices,etc. Wondering if once you have made reservation would you be able to give me reservation number so I can call member services to verify number before I send money or somehow need to be able to verify. Had a friend who was burned in past on renting timeshare, just want to protect both of us! Let me know-thanks!

I totally understand about not wanting to get burned. I am a very trusting person and have only been burned on e-bay. Only good, honest people are on the DIS boards, right ! Sounds good . I'm not sure how DVC handles location requests lately. I can certainly ask about it when I call. The worst they can do is say no location requests are guaranteed.

I noticed that you have a low post count, so I knew that you would not be able to send a private message. My home e-mail is fine. I'll be running a few errands late morning, but will check e-mail before I leave and after I get home. I can't remember what member services hours are on Saturday (Sunday??), but hopefully we can get this done quickly . ~ Kathy
