Points for Safari?

Has anyone ever used their points for the Disney Adventure Collection? In particular the Thompson Family Safari? We are interested and UI was wondering if it is as difficult as getting an interval international trade? If anyone can tell be their experience I'd appriciate it!

We looked into it, but never actually got too far. One thing that I do remember is that they gave you a pretty reasonable exchange rate. Comparing the points needed to the retail cost of the safari, it looked like you were getting almost exactly $10 per point. That's a whole lot better than most non-DVC usages.

The II trades are difficult because two sides are involved; somebody at the II resort of your choice has to put their condo up for trade, too. The Adventurer Collection doesn't have that problem, I don't think. You should be able to get it.
