HI all! I own timeshare but unfortunately, NOT DVC. I might want to rent points for next December (Adventure Season). Here are my questions:

When can I start looking?

I would love to stay at Boardwalk Villas, Beach Club Villas or Wilderness Lodge Villas. Leaning towards Boardwalk or Beach Club. Any recommendations? (I love how close Beach Club is to Epcot!)

Out of the three resorts named above, which has the largest studio rooms?

At the Boardwalk, what is the difference between Standard and Preferred rooms?

Any other pros and cons of these three resorts?

THANKS FOR ANY HELP YOU EXPERT DVCers CAN GIVE!

Hi --

I'll try to give you some answers ---

If the reservation is booked by someone who has the resort you want as a home resort, the reservation may be booked 11 months before your check out date. If it's not a home resort, then 7 months for the booking window.

Beach Club and Boardwalk are more "water resort" oriented and Wilderness is more "rustic" -- Ever been to Yellowstone?

The 3 all have similar size rooms and cost the same (If BWV Preferred).

The difference between stand and preferred is view & location. The rooms are the same. Preferred normally is Boardwalk or water view.

The thing you have to decide is exact dates you want and room type (Studio--1 Bedroom -- 2 Bedroom -- 3 Bedroom).

You can view all about the Resorts on the Disney Web Site.

Enjoy

Thanks so much! I see that you own Beach Club...want to rent any points next year? HAHA...I'll ask again in January!

I have visited all of the three properties I was asking about, but was just looking to see how DVCers compare the three. I am really leaning towards Beach Club, because of its proximity to Epcot. I love that you can walk there! How about Boardwalk...isn't it close to Epcot as well?

You are welcome, and yes -- Boardwalk is on the opposite side of the small lake from the Beach club and you can walk to Epcot from there also -- just a little further away, because you have to walk around the lake and take a longer path.

There is also the Watercraft Motor launch or Bus.

Actually, the studios at OKW are supposed to be larger than at any other resort, although I can't see the difference. Now, if you are comparing one, two, or three bedroom villas, there is no comparison! OKW wins, hands down!
OKW has about twice the space of the other resorts :flower: It has about three times more space than SSR :teeth:
