I just rented points for our stay at the Willderness Lodge Villas. I was wondering if someone can rent points for hotels not listed on the points chart such as the Carribean Beach for example. If so how would I find out how many points I would need?

Points required for moderate resorts will typically be higher than a 1BR at the DVC resorts and will cost far more than a reservation thru CRO directly (unless you can find someone willing to rent in the $4-5 range per point).

Please keep in mind that unless you are a DVC member, you are NOT "renting points", but are actually renting a reservation made using DVC points. DVC points are useless to anyone except the member who controls them in their account - even other members can't "rent" points unless they are transferred into their own account.

Yes - you can rent points for other WDW resort hotels. However, it is not cost effective to rent points for non-DVC resorts unless someone is having a huge "firesale" on points that are in "reservation" status (That means the points are not good at a DVC resort).

For example, you can rent a studio at the VWL for less points per night than you can rent a room at the CBR.

If you want to stay at a non-DVC WDW resort, go through Disney directly.

Best wishes-

P.S. To see the points needed for non-DVC WDW resorts, click the link at the top of the page for the "DVC Point Charts". Once that page loads, you'll find another link for the "Points Calculator". Use that to see how many points you'd need for yor dates. Be sure to compare to a DVC resort and you will see what I mean.
