Points at Regular DC Resorts & ROFR

If I am not able to get in at the DVC properties, I would like to know if anyone has any input on whether the other DC hotels are outrageous on the points required in October. I have 280 points to use and 280 banked in the resale I am buying so that is not a problem, but I don't want to use everything if I don't have to. Is anyone else waiting for a ROFR right now?

Hello, I'm am not an expert, in fact I'm new to DVC and this board; but if you're asking about other on-property hotels, it seems to me that they do get quite point costly.



I have just had my first contract pass ROFR and I have one more pending.

I just submitted my signed contracts today on a BWV resale, so the waiting here is beginning too. You didn't mention what hotel you're looking at if you can't get into a DVC resort. I'll post the cheapest room category with point requirements for each resort for October. The lower point figures are for Sun/Thurs night stays, and the higher point values are for Fri/Sat stays.

Polynesian 38/68
Yacht Club 36/65
Contemporary 29/52
Animal Kingdom Lodge 32/58
All moderates 15/27

moderate resort standard 15 points Sun-thurs

the deluxe resort vary 29 - 43 points Sun- thurs for a standard room.

the 29 points is the Cont wing room.

So yes they are a great deal more.

Thanks. If we did stay at one of the regular hotels, it would be a deluxe. It is my mother and father-in-laws first time and I want them to remember it. It is also my eight month old's first time. I hope we can get something good.
