points at different resorts

if you own points at different resorts how does the reservations work. if i have 50 pts at WL and 250 at SSR. when my 7 month window approaches for WL can i book a reservation worth more then 50 pts by using my pts from SSR. in other words do all your points become usable at either home resort

At 7 months out, you can mix all the points to make a reservation at any DVC resort (not just any home resort); at 11 months out you can use only those points applicable to a specific resort, e.g., only those 50 VWL points can be used 11 months out at VWL.

thanks drusba. actually i did mean 11 months out not 7 months. wanted to see if when the 11 month window approaches i could use the other 250 points for a longer stay at WL. thanks again

You can't use SSR points at VWL at 11 months out. You can only use points from a different resort at 7 months or less out.

you can bank and borrow to get 150 points at VWL at your 11 month time.

that say 60 points would be better - then you could stay in a studio for 5 nights in adventure or choice seasons.
