They will not show up in your account on the members site. Just tell the CM when you call for the res. that you have points that were transferred into your account that you want to use. They retain their orig. use year and home resort. I know from recent experience. My brother transferred points to me. I then banked them, but they never showed in my account on the site. I emailed guest services and was told they would not.
When I called to use them for a res. for March 08, member services couldn't find them and when they finally did, the system was not allowing them to make the res. with the transferred, banked points. I had a very nice CM named Patrick who was very helpful. He assured me the points were there and they would hold the res. and get back to me in a couple of days to finalize everything when they had the problem solved. He called me about five days later, they still did not have the problem fixed. It took almost three weeks to fix whatever was wrong. They did hold my res. and the points are now there to use. Just a heads up. Sometimes things don't go smoothly, but they do turn out ok.
I probably should add it takes about 3-4 days for them to be in your account.
