Point Transfer Question - Use Year

Hey DVC Gurus!

My extended family is trying to plan a big trip next year. Several of us are members. I have a Dec UY and my sister has an April UY.

We were thinking of trying to combine our points to get a Grand Villa somewhere. However, I need to use some of my 2011 points to have enough even if we combine.

If I transfer some of my 2011 UY points (available 12/2011) to her do they go into her April 2011 or April 2012 UY? And any points transferee can't be borrowed, right?

Transfered Points retain their original UY and Home Resort.

Ah, ok. We have the same home resort but wasn't sure how the UY worked.

I know we can do separate reservations but I worry about the small chance they'll make us change rooms when we switch to the other reservation. I can't imagine having to pack up and relocate part way through our trip!

If you make reservations using both memberships, as long as the resort, room size, view, etc. are all exactly the same, MS can link them so you would not have to check-out/in again or move rooms.
