I'm a newbie, can you "rent" points from multiple members? Let's say I need 100, can pick up 10 from 10 different members looking to get rid of some straggler points they can't use?

How would the reservation be made on something like that?

What? Under this scenario you would have to have multiple reservations, probably from differant home resorts and UY. I don't think this is a viable option, unless you can get differant owners to transfer points under one owner, and with the one transfer rule I don't think that would be possible.

"Renting points" is a little bit of a misnomer. You wouldn't be able to do anything with the points; only the owner of the DVC contract can make a reservation with points.

You're actually renting a reservation. We speak in 'points' here because it's how the cost of a reservation is determined - for instance, a 1-bedroom villa at SSR costs X number of points, and the number of points required for your reservation will determine how much you pay the DVC member.

Once you find a member to work with who has a sufficient number of points to cover your reservation, and you agree on payment, the member will then call DVC and make a reservation in your name, using their points.
