Right now the DVC point chart for 2013 & 2014, are the same. And AKV and Aulani prices are going up. If the point chart stays the same for 2 years, do you think in 2015 the point then jump for all resorts because GFV will be up and selling.

You mean points per night, not maintenance fees, right? Points per night never increase for a resort. They can only be reallocated between units and time of year/week. So the overall total number of points required to book the whole resort for a whole year stays constant.

Agree with pp. They cannot increase points per resort, only re-allocate. The only way they would be able to increase points at a resort is if they added on units to that specific resort.

But 10 points for a studio at BWV in December now, will be 10 points for a studio in December 10 years from now (again unless they re-allocate) But even if they re-allocate it would only be a point or two difference.

Just to clarify and amplify your statement: Adding Units at a DVC resort would merely increase the total number of DVC points for that resort; it would not necessitate a change in the resort's point chart. Due to the formulas used to allocate points based on square footage, there would be no change in the resort's point chart unless the mix of vacation homes by view category changes.

As I am still new to DVC, I am use to a point system increasing every year ,along with the fees. I wasn't sure if the point would go up in 2015 or not. Thanks for letting me know.
