Just booked POFQ for 8/7 - 8/11, standard room. What can we expect as far as room location?
We stayed at POR this past march/april, and got off the bus one day and walked thru FQ to Riverside. We really liked the atmosphere and thought we'd try it for a couple of days.

I'm not sure if I should make any requests other then a corner room. Can anyone tell me what kind of walk it would be if we were put in building 1, 6 or 7? I don't mind walking but, I don't want to feel way out there and too removed from things.

I just booked today for two weeks from now, are the corner rooms special?

from what i've read while doing my research on a multitude of boards, the resort is small so no matter what building you're in it's not going to take forever to get to the food/bus.

We stayed at POFQ a couple of weeks ago and were in building 2 with a river view and it was lovely ... we were right next to a corner room, which had 2 windows...we noted that we would request one if we were to stay there again. We loved FQ except for the food. Luckily, we didn't eat there very often. It was very quiet, the pool was fun, and we were super close to everything...the boat dock was directly in front of our room, the pool right next to us and we loved waking up every morning to the lovely view.

Its not a bad walk to the parking lot or food court or serpant slide from ANYWHERE. You will love it there. When you check in you can ask to be put near the food court or near the docks and pool... I would compliment the cast member and say 'what room would you stay in? You know this place the best probably!'

POFQ is so quiet and quaint - rent a bike and tour the grounds if you can for a day.

We stayed there in March 05' and loved it so much we are going back in October. I don't think there could be a bad room at POFQ. We were in the fartest building from the food court and buses but the walk each moring was short and nice because we could just take in everything around us rather then rushing. The whole resort just had a calmness about it. princess:
