THIS YEAR WE ARE SPENDING THE LAST WEEK AT POFQ. ANYONE HAVE RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE BEST ROOMS TO HAVE?

Don't know a lot about POR/POFQ but when we considered staying there I found Andre's site very good, have you seen it? http://www.portorleans.org/

Its a great resort and TBH no room is really too far from anything due to resort size.

We stayed in building 6 overlooking the river last year and it was great.

Plus the bonus of getting to use the pools etc at riverside.

And the website that wayne has told you about is a really good resource as well.

We've stayed in Block 5 every time and loved it! I put a request in for Block 5 (via VH special assistance though) for next September too. Honestly, there's not really a bad place to be in POFQ as everything is so close but blocks 5 and 2 are close to the pool, laundry, boats and the main area i.e. food court, shop, reception, arcade

I don't think there's a bad building at POFQ. We just got back from spending 2 weeks there and loved it so much that we have shelved our original plans for next year at different resorts to go back there. I spent a lot of time on the link Wayne gave you and as he says, it's a great source of information with some gorgeous pictures too.

We stayed in Building 5 and were very happy with our room location. If you book a river view there will be some buildings you won't be in - for example 1 and 4 do not have water views but are very close to the main buildings. However as already mentioned by others, you won't be far from anything wherever you stay there.
