Can someone give me some advice?

Me, DW, DS(7), DD(5), and DD(2) are planing to stay from:
  • Dec. 27, 2012 - Jan. 5, 2013 if we do AoA (9 nights)
  • Dec. 28, 2012 - Jan. 5, 2013 if we do PORFQ (8 nights)

Which would you choose for a family of 5 and why? Is there that much difference between a Value and Moderate?

Thanks in advance!!

It really depends on what you want. I also have three children, though mine are a bit older (11, 8, and 6). Too many people/things in a smallish space makes me feel anxious. The idea of the five of us staying in a 315 sq foot room was unacceptable. I don't think the standard Deluxe rooms are quite big enough for us, either. The AoA suites are nearly twice the size, and the flexibility of the room configuration gives you more space when you need it. For me, that was the deciding factor. AoA suites are a lot more than the moderate standard rooms cost wise, and you won't get a pool slide. We didn't care about the slide, as our community pool has those in abundance. The kids go down a time or two, then spend the rest of the time just playing together in the normal pool.

If you really need a pool slide, and you must have a sit down restaurant at the resort -- moderate is the way to go if you don't mind a very cramped room.

You didn't say what room at AoA, if it is a family suite, I say go for AoA, if it is a standard room, I would still stick with AoA. The famiy suites at ASMu are a bit cheaper. Having 2 bathrooms would be nice with 3 kids, plus a fridge and a microwave, the suites at AoA offer these things

My family has stayed at the Animal Kindom Lodge, All Star Movies (x2) and just this past Feb at POFQ. Without question our favorite resort was the PORFQ!!!!
We loved it because it is a small and quiet resort. We were really able to relax when we were back at the hotel. Also, with 2 children (ages 2 & 7) we really enjoyed not having a long walk to the bus stop or food court.
My daughter loved the pool and activities that they provided everyday by the pool. There is a hot tub. It always seemed to be full though.
My husband really enjoyed the boat ride from the resort to DTD! Again, very relaxing.
Hope this helps!!! Have a great trip!!!

Because of the time of year(no discounts or FD), It will be the standard rooms at both.

A few reason why I would choose AoA
1) an extra night! Yeppie!:cool1:
2) your kids will love the place, :cheer2:
3) it is a new resort
