POFQ Transportation Question

I'm sure this is answered here somewhere, but I'm also sure someone can answer me quickly --

I see that POFQ has only one bus stop in its resort, but does it share any transportation with POR, or does it have all its own buses?

Thanks!

It depends.

MK I believe always has a dedicated bus since both POFQ and POR have their own bus stops at MK.

For the rest of the resorts, the busses will sometimes go to POR after POFQ but they do go to POFQ first. My experience at different times of the year has been that first thing in the morning before the parks open, the busses never went to POR after picking up at POFQ but frequently did go to POR after POFQ later in the day (slower time of day). Going back to the resort at the end of the day, POFQ gets dropped off first so it really doesn't matter since you don't have to drive through POR anyway.

The DTD bus goes in reverse and goes to POR before POFQ. Unless there's thunder or lightening, you can take the boat from DTD though if it's raining, you'll get pretty wet.

We stayed at POFQ in July and we very rarely shared buses with POR. By very rarely, I mean maybe twice out of the dozens of bus rides we took.

Same thing with our last trip in November. The only time we shared was going mid-day to a park.

Yes, there is only one bus stop at POFQ. The up side - you'll be first one (better chance to get a seat) and first off (you don't have the stop and go at the end of the night).

Also, we use the boat to go to DTD. This is truly relaxing!

Have fun!

FWIW, this usually is true but we have had experiences where POR guests were dropped off first.

Does the idea of POFQ sometimes sharing buses with POR bother you? If it does, please allow me to try to talk you out of it.

If POFQ shares with POR, the bus will make a maximum of 5 stops (1 at POFQ and 4 at POR). But it's important to keep in mind that the other Moderate resorts, while they don't share buses with other resorts, they DO have multiple stops internally. Coronado Springs Resort has 4 internal stops, and Caribbean Beach Resort has 7 internal stops for park buses.

Therefore, bus sharing at POFQ/POR is really no different than the multiple internal stops at those other non-sharing resorts.

Keep in mind that the MK stop for POFQ is only open after 3pm.
