We are planning a trip in early June and have it narrowed down to these 2 resorts. It will be 2 adults, and 2 children ages 2 and 6. What do you like/dislike about each resort? Which would you choose?

I love CSR too! I think that the main pool is awesome. In fact, the entire resort is fabulous.
Of course, I am be bias in picking. I work at CSR! :goodvibes

Hands down with little ones that age POFQ.

1st on and off the bus, Boat to DTD and sorry but the theme is just way better and whimsicle.

It's also very small but never crowded feeling. We stop by even when we aren't staying there at the time.

Oh and CSR is very nice as well just some things are a downside when compaired for us.

Definitely Coronado Springs. Most of our wedding guests stayed there and everyone loved the theme and all of the activities that were right at the resort. The pool area is awesome, with volleyball courts, a great slide, and a play area for the kids. You can rent mini motor boats, surrey bikes, kayaks, party boats, the restaurant has an awesome breakfast buffet (Maya Grill) and dinner is also really good. Their fast food is awesome because it has the biggest selection IMHO of all the fast food places in the resorts. It's also cool because you have three different themed sections to choose from - Casitas, Cabanas, and Ranchos. We've stayed in Casitas and Cabanas and loved them both, but preferred the Casitas for the theme. The Cabanas are closer to the pool though.

Port Orleans French Quarter is cute. It doesn't have alot of extras - but you can take the boat to DTD which is a fun little ride. It felt like a value resort to me though, everything was really close together and claustrophobic. I prefer Port Orleans Riverside.

But my favorite moderate is Coronado Springs. We're staying there again in Dec.

HTH!

Even Better is PO Riverside !!!
Not Coronado Springs......
That is a a Convention Resort, Very Nice, Yes, But.......
Dance Competitions, Karate Competitions, a KaZillion Team Parents Running Around, Big Time Traffic in the Food Court, Lots & Lots of LARGE GROUPS only there for some sort of competition......
Totally vote for Port Orleans !!

I think 2 and 6 will work great with the playground, kiddie pool, main pool and slide. While both may not enjoy all, each will have something to do. The CM's also play games with the kids poolside during the day as well as the opening pool ceremony.

The pool opening ceremony happens at the main pool at 10:00am. The kids chant to the water gods to get the water turned on to the temple, slide and tiki post.
