I can't decide and you all always seem to have different perspectives that I haven't thought off. We going to Disney for a total of 8 days the first week in May. The first 4 days there will be four of us, me, DH, DS 9 and DS 14. We are planning to stay onside for the first part and then move offsite, probably to Bonnet Creek when DS 16 arrives. He just wants to play golf and putt putt and go to a park to make me happy :) So where to stay the first part? DS 14 has a chronic medical condition that makes him extremely fatigued and causes joint pain. We haven't been to Disney in a few years due to his condition but he has really been wanting to go back and he's doing a little better. We are probably going to need to take it easy so he doesn't just end up in bed for half the trip. We have stayed at POR in the past and I like the idea of POFQ because it looks small and easy to navigate. I like the idea of having some more space at FW and it looks relaxing and we all enjoying camping, although we would be in a cabin. My worry for FW is that it's so big and so much to do we may not have time to take advantage and it may be harder for him to get around. Thoughts? Thanks!

Stayed at both.

Based on bold, I would go with the resort with the least amount of walking for him, and where he can easily go to the pool or food court without a major effort. Also walking to a single bus vs walking and multiple modes of transportation to a park. We found the transportation such a pain we ended up not enjoying the campground activities; it was easier to get in the car and drive to a park. I would pick POFQ to take the burden off of him (can relate with a DS who is disabled and myself with chronic RA) so he can have a great week.

I love FW, but with a medical/mobility issue, I would only suggest staying there if you rent a golf cart. We almost always had a golf cart for use around the campgrounds as we usually took breaks during the day. We would usually drive to the parks, except MK.

I just stayed at POFQ and I fell in love with the size of the resort. I think this might be in the running for a future trip with my sister as I know she could get around without even needing her mobility devices for most of the places we would go.
